Looks good.
Do you use the rawhide jaquimas? Are they 'tough' or 'soft'?
What would you think of a rawhide jaquima on a buckskin? ...I'd think it'd look like she had no bridle on... Think it'd look cool?

I like them...but I do admit they need to be used often to keep them soft..sweat etc...I do NOT like the rawhide reins though I like the nylon and I personally like the very big reins for my hands..I also do the jaquimas with crisco to soften them...if used often they soften leave them hanging a few weeks they get hard...
I think it would look nice on a buckskin...let me know if you need more pics etc..I have more that are not on the website yet...ebay shows more of what I have..

Do you have a link for your eBay sales?
Is it on your webpage? If so, I'll check there...

Edit, just checked your website and I like the flat jaquima with fancy "x" stitching for $30. I'll shoot you an email next week. (pay week)

Crisco? How, what, etc??
Do you leave it on or wipe it off? Dying to know! My jaquima needs softening!

I've used vaseline on them...probably works same as crisco!
Just rub it in, let it sit a while then wipe it off.

Crisco or lard works a little better than vaseline. Put in on and leave it in the sun for a day or so. I think some people heat it up to liquify first as well.

I will look into the hind end collecter...
Personally I use butter flavored crisco..just dont leave it for your dog to get..I learned that the hard way...I GLOB it on..and put it in the plastic bag and tie it shut and put it in a hot car dash board for a day or two..then I wipe it off...

What an awesome idea! And here I have been buying rawhide cream! Thanks so much for a better idea! And looking into a hind collector! I need one. I have a two year old I hope it will help with multiple issues.
Thanks!

I just bought a rawhide jaquima and the shop owner said to spray it with mineral oil, put it in a plastic bag and hang it in a warm place, like car or trailer. Probably works same as crisco?

one of the local trainers uses olive oil..just throws the tack in a 5 gallon bucket of it for awhile (days) then wipes it off a few times over the next few days..Dont really know how long it lasts..
