Terry is she not on Pasoregistry???

You can call Puerto Rico and talk to the department of Agriculture and they have all that info. I take it PFHA doesn't have it either??

No....she was an import mare. The PFHA papers have no history after her name either.

Ahhhh - lucky they got her registered. We're still fighting about our PPR mare. I'd PM Candice Burger if I were you (Big J on the other board). She's pretty busy but may know the mare and she knows lots of paso fino breeders in Puerto Rico.

This is what I have so far.

The mare Triquena #4505, bay, has no parents in PFHA registry.
She has no record of importation.
She was born in 1969 in Puerto Rico, owned by the Baily Brothers Inc., Bill Bailey agent, at the time of PFHA registration.
Last owner was David and Gretchen Heller.

I'm doing a cross-referencing check on the importation information because her PFHA registration number has brought up a couple of flags. Could be she was originally registered with APF and accepted by PFHA during one of two open registration periods.

There is a Triquena in the Federation stud book from Puerto Rico.
The mare is Triquena #1067, El Indio X Azuquita
Born in 1960, bay with white markings, last recorded owner Jaime L. Plas

A picture of the mare would help for the white markings.

 Good deal! The old PR stud book has a detailed description of the white markings. I didn't take the time to cypher them out--they're abbreivated, but that may be enough to see if the info fits.

I wish PFHA would take the time to document the white markings on pedigrees and in the stud book. It would make it allot easier instead of looking at hundreds of "bay" horses.

I'll see if I can "see" it on another PC. This one has got enough security on it that has firewalls for allot of photo sites. Otherwise, might need to email it to me personally.

No problem...just let me know... the story is...Rosalee McWilliams inspected the mare for approval... possibly for Robin Ratliff... I need to inquire about that to Robin.

Checked the markings this morning.

The Triquena in the PPR stud book was a bay mare with one sock and a blaze. Another term is used for stocking.

That's as far as I can go. Sorry. :-?
