Thank you all, for your kind words!
Linda, it's an Olympus, Camedia Digital C-700 Ultra Zoom with a 10x optical zoom. I got it used, and have abused the heck out of it. I love the thing to death, but some day, I want to upgrade.

Wow bar, I have an Olympus Camedia C5050 zoom. NO clue what all the buttons and things do on it, it scares me.

If I were to enter one in a contest, which one should I pick?

Upgrade? Why? How could you top photos like that? It even blurs background like a 35mm. I think I shall trip lightly over to eBay and see what they go for la-de-da-de-da.
Use that first photo. Great detail, no distraction in the background. Background color great with the color of the butterfly. Actually, the background looks like stained glass. Beautiful.

Great photos. Do you have a local fair to enter them in? Our town has one and I enter every year. They have different catagories and you can enter 5 photos. It is a such a big deal for me to get some wins - there is alot of competition. You should enter something!!

Carol, the avatar pic is from a rodeo we went to last night. It was the only picture that came out, it was too dark for the rest. It's a crying shame, because there were some really nice cowboy butt shots to be had. :(
