Most farm stores sell them...Big R sells them here, as well as Parker Farrier....there is a BIG shoe & tool supplier in Wagonmound, New Mexico... I'll have to check for a website....

I suppose before I'd answer that question, I'd be remiss if I didn't ask why do you want 000 aluminium shoes? An aluminm shoe is not just something i'd put on a horse without some forethought.

I run aluminum because they are light and thru experance have found my show horses gait at there best with them simply,I have never had a aluminum shoe come loose so I don't worry about the toxin thing I ask tons of questions from my farrier to be sure the foot is okay, 000 is the size shoe my mare wears.
I was unable to find the aluminum and so have had to settel for ulter lights i don't care much for them as they are still heavy but i guess will work in a pinch

An Ultra-Lite is heavy? Shouldn't be. I ask about the aluminum shoes since aluminiun tends to be a little soft and often times the nails whole will "warble" out a bit, stressing the walls an causing enough damage to have a blow-out. If I were going to use an aluminium shoe, I'd use a good Kerckhert shoe. You may find that it's not the weight of the shoe that makes the difference but how the foot is being trimmed.
There are several makes of good aluminum shoes that can be found at Centaur Forge. http://www.centaurforge.com/prodinfo.asp?number=K29510

When we trail ride alot I have to put an aluminum shoe on the back of my horse. For the most part he goes bare on the back. Anything, even aluminum is really too heavy for him. He will overstride and hit the back of his shoe on the front. Gives me fears of him pulling it off.

starr, there are ways to prevent the horse from overstepping and pulling the front shoe off by hitting it with the rear. your farrier could square off the hind foot a bit, turn the heels in on the front shoe, and that might eliminate the problem.
