My 13 y/o son has been wanting to have a party. So, Friday night was the night.
They had a band (13 year-olds). hubby set up the flatbed trailer for a stage, and borrowed a really nice Karoke system for us to use. The kids (and some parents) had a blast singing. I think we had about 50 kids and maybe a dozen parents. Best of all, our closest neighbor is 1/4 mi away, so we didn't get arrested for disturbing the peace!

Getting the lawn ready when it's 109 degrees - lots of sweat
Knowing where your kid is partying - priceless
Hearing from all his friends how great the party was - also priceless
It was a lot of fun! I'd encourage anyone to try it once!
