Got this the other day from Wendy, Buck's new mommy. I'm so glad!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Buck took me for my first dressage lesson. He said I did well and he could
understand me better. We are going to continue the lessons for a while. The
instructor agrees that he has had some extremely advanced training. He does
need to work on gaining back his flexibility back, but don't we all! We went
on a short ride on the road today. Apparently he has never seen cows or goats.
He made sure he kept an eye on them when we were going by. He didn't really
want to go any where near them but did exactly as I asked of him.
Buck has been ridden two days in a row, and has not come up lame. He is on the
way to becoming my favorite. I don't know how to break this news to Misty. She
made it very clear today that I was the only one she wanted on her back. She
gave a friend of mine a hard time about doing anything. She refused to move.
I am going to have to be careful to divide my time up between them.
I was informed by Misty's previous owner that Misty has pulled a cart and was
quite good at it. I may dabble in that in the spring. I think Buck would also
do well with that.
