View Full Version : Landlord help please
I know I can always turn to you guys for helpful advice and information. I am so frustrated right now. This past spring I planted flowers in my flower bed which is in front of my house, tomatoes and watermelons in the back. My landlord’s dog comes over everyday and pees on them and kills them. I have only caught him in the act once, he does it during the day when I am not home. I am really getting sick and tired of seeing all of my hard work and money die before my very eyes. BUT THE MAIN PROBLEM IS he is my landlord’s dog. This dog chases horses, cats, and eats up other animals if he is given a chance. My landlord does not see this as a problem he is a dog and that is what he does. I don’t want to move, I love my house and for the most part she leaves me alone. What can I do to save my flowers and keep his a@@ out of my garden?
Also, the post about my daughter and her step-mom. She decided to stick with just "Lisa". She was being pressured, not by her dad or step-mom but by her step sister. I am very proud of her to take a stand and do what she thought was right and not give in to guilt.

There are some things you can buy that will keep the dog out of your garden. Google dog repellant or dog garden repellent.
Here is one page...

You can also make your own repellent by combining equal parts Cayenne pepper and mothballs, with a few orange peels thrown in for good measure. Other repellents include tobacco dust, dried blood, and oil of mustard. For trashcan thugs, spray your garbage cans with a pine scented detergent and ammonia mixed with an equal amount of water.

Ditto the hot wire. Put a strand about pee target height, he hits it once he'll no longer pee in your general direction! LOL
I'd also hotwire my yard if he were chasing my cats and horses.

yep, a little chicken wire grid tied up with insulating something, plastic ties etc. charged with a good fence charger. I heard a story of a dorm boy that was doing something simular out a 2d story dorm window at night, he was told to stop but wouldn't. so some other boys put out wire on the ground and hooked it up. It only took once.
