Here we are in the river, which was the coolest place to be. It was like riding in air conditioning. The temp was over 100 in the campground, but really cool close to the river. We were there 2 weeks, just got back to La. on Monday. We really had a good time. The photo is of me on Taceaux, my 20 yr. old Paso, and a friend of ours, Gordon, on his wifes 5 yr old Paso. This was their 1st time on the ride and they loved it and are planning on returning next yr. They have been doing the ride now for 51 yrs. It use to be cross country, but got to big, so now it has a base camp and we ride in the Ozark Mountains. This was my 37th year of attending.
