We have a member on the board who lurks ocassionally. She likes to trailrides a lot w/DebbieD and Pasomom on w/her TWH Girlfriend and her TB Henry. But recently, she and Debbie ran across a couple of Pasos in need of good homes, so Pat being the softy w/loads of experience, she took the gelding that needed a few tweaks, but should make a wonderful horse after a little work.
This is her new Capuchino son after his introduction to her TB.

He has a very nice gait too. Almost fino! He just has a few attitude issues that interfere w/that right now. But I am sure Pat will have him gaiting along just fine very soon. He is a VERY smart boy. 8-)

Yea, Pat says Elejido got his butt beat down to the ground by the TB the first day. But that's what his little behind gets for trying to boss around the BIG guy. ;-) They are best buds now.

Hey......Lori you beat me to it. I have bean meaning to post pics but my computer went on the fritz! I am so glad that Pat took Elijiado. He is very happy at her place and she is just tickled to death with him! I know she will give him the best life. Pat says the older she gets the more she likes them Gaited horses. I have been after her to come out of lurking mode. I will post pics of my new boy soon. He is doing great! We are lucky to have them. They really are sweet horses! Elijido just needs a job as Pat says..... Lucero on the other hand is just a push button Paso. Pics coming soon. Can't wait for it to cool off so I can ride the new boy. Joey you met Pat and her TWH Girlfriend at Pasomom's.

Just give enough time to settle in and get comfortable and no pressure - then start gently from ground zero with training ! Worked with every horse I have seen!
Very handsome horse !

I agree with what Penny said, start over training...you'll wizz through everything he knows and find the holes in his foundation pretty quickly. Then you'll know what you need to work on.
I think you'll find there is no more sensitive or easy to train breed then these, the are eager to learn, anxious to please, and glow when they are doing what you want. I would have them even if they didn't gait.

What a beautiful boy!
I'm sure any glitches he's got will soon be a thing of the past... most times those things are rider/handler induced and her loads of experience will set him right pretty quick... and then what a package!

Thanks for all the kind words and support for Elejido and gang. Today we did our first lunge lesson and he did better than I thought and we ended on a great note. Obviously no one ever taught him proper lunging. As Lori said, he is very smart. We are taking our time and started with ground work and after this wk of lunging we'll pony for a wk or two then start riding when the weather improves.
Not only his he my first Paso but this is my first chat room or board so thanks Deb and Lori for teaching and encouraging me.
