Does anyone have any foal pics of a horse (Paso?) that shed out to liver chestnut as an adult?

If no pics, what color shade was the foal born?

My July filly Mariposa's new hair growing in looks rather "chocolate" on a few patches around the face.

I just took some of a Liver chestnut in Peublo...did you want a foal shot...or a mature shot?

Darn...I have no foal shots...even of my liver QH foals... BUT..they generally look fairly dark as foals, darker than the standard "pinky" looking red chestnut foal color.

Post YOUR foal you are wondering about....

hmmmm.. I know what liver chestnut looks like....wondering about the foal coat color looks like of one.

Mine is not a pinky chestnut. Time will tell as she shed out more. Right now ear tips and eye circles, plus a patch on top of her head are rather a dark color, but not black.

Parents are a black that grayed and a dark grulla (black/dark brown sire x chestnut/dun dam). First foal was black by a by stallion.

Spirit's was very chocolatey after his inital shedding. I was very excited about that since his mom is liver and I thought he would be too. At 3 years old, he is a bright coppery chestnut.

I will post pics of his color changes when I get home.
