Several suggestions -
He loves to jump - so hunter/jumper ? Dressage?
He likes to come out of the "gate" fast - calf roping ?
Seems to be fearless - Bull dogin?
Has some good moves for cutting and reining or team penning-
He does move pretty - but can't really see him pulling a carriage or cart -
Hmmmmmm - if he isn't cut - could start your own string of rodeo broncs :rofl

Oh....he is quite a show-off. Can't believe his extreme jumps and bucks...I wouldn't want to be on his back should he decide he doesn't want someone on his back. I think He would be able to get of me REAL fast....he sure looks beautiful and happy....

Excellent choice of music, Carol. He's a wild one for sure, I pity the fool that tries to ride him. ;-)

:( I'm not sure who is more "encourging" here...Shelley, Adam, Terry, Penny, or Barbara! This boy has some serious MOVES!!!
Maybe I need to post one of those prayer requests so everyone can start praying NOW that he forgets them all!.
"air"...yeah, right.

He is so adorable! I can't believe how high he can jump! It's funny how the other horses just stand there so calmly through all of his antics!
Carol, that was FUN, thanks for sharing!

At first I thought you were taking video of some weird man who was chasing your horse around with a ball.....
I think the older horses got tired just watching the antics.
Thanks for sharing tha video! I really enjoyed it! Might even watch it again after this post and chuckle again.
He's a beauty already. Can't wait to see your next video.

Nice view you guys have there....do you ever ride to the top of those hills/mountains...?

What a riot he is!!!!

OUCH, you guys are all so mean! Video of the first ride, indeed! :shocked
Maybe we should start calling him "Air Bruiser"... :question
Anyway, thank you all. He is a lot of fun. The reason we throw a ball at him is that he wants to play so bad and there are no other babies here. Because he is so dominant, we have a rule that he can't chase us (we used to play Tag with Baby when she was little), so we chase him. He loves the game, comes running to the fence whinnying "play with me, play with me" LOL
He likes the balls finally and attacks them. I'll try to get a video of that sometime.
Abbie, the mountain in the picture belongs to Kennecott Copper and is private property. There is a HUGE hole on the other side! I have riden to the tops of other mountains here, and well, you just can't believe the veiws when you can see over 100 miles away. Just amazing. On the hottest days down here, it'll be in the 60's in the mountains. So nice.

WOW! That sounds awesome.....they look like they'd make for a nice ride. Whats the cause of the hole on the other side...natural erosion, or government testing??

Believe it or not, this hole USED to be a mountain. The copper mine is 2-1/2 miles wide and 1/2 mile deep. Underneath it is another underground mine.

This is what it is like when you are actually in the mountains:

And this is in Southern Utah

67% of Utah belongs to the Federal government. You can ride in any of it any time except for watersheds (near Ogden, Salt Lake, and Provo). The rest is open range.

Just beautiful Carol....
I know what you mean about 'holes' in the mountains. Homestake is finished mining for Black Hills Gold and they have 'built' a mountain from all the dirt they took out when they made the open cut mine. I think the open cut will be there as a tourist attraction forever though

First off, I just love that little guy of yours, Carol...I wish you were keeping him a stud...too bad someone doesn't come along and offer you something for him uncut. He's absolutely gorgeous! Does he show any gait at all?
Utah...ah, yes, one of my favorite states...I love the stark, rugged beauty of Utah. If it weren't cold in the winter, I'd probably pick it as a great place I'd like to live someday!
And I hate open pit-mining. New Mexico has it's share of it too...especially up by Silver City...probably why Silver City never thrilled me...on the way up through the Gila Mtns....all you see are those big empty holes.

Why would you keep a half Peruvian/half QH a stud? Just wondering!
Hey...I grew up in Silver City...I love it there...no open pit mines there..they are at Tyrone and Santa Rita NM...

Perhaps as stud for a string of Airborn Rough Stock??? :shocked

To be perfectly honest, MANY seem to notice his natural attributes to become a saddle bronc star. He certainly acts like that would be his chosen profession! My farriers are a large rodeo family, the one brother has ridden rough stock in the PRCA for 30 years and has a big gold belt buckle that says so. LOL Anyway, they LOVE him. Now THAT is scary!

Terry, first hubby was a Saddle Bronc rider...still has riging, lives next town over. ha ha ha...
I'm thinking we'll be doing a LOT of ground work before we try any 'arial' work.
