Todays adventure

We started out on a trail ride from the house to do the same trails we always do..and we ended up coming out on a new road and crossing and going to a big park with tons of people and field to gait gait gait..

One drawback...to get there we had to go along side the road for a little bit and cross a bridge (yes with water under it) and guard rails..

Bubba and Misty were unsure and we wanted to cross before cars came by so we pushed and pushed and gaited across the bridge along the guard rail..

On the way home we tried to get down and cross the stream instead of going the road way..NO luck...stream looked very wide and deep and no way to get close to it..and the other side looked swampy and we did not want to get stuck..

Misty did water and mud she is looky but not spooky but times you have to push and push...I think with more exposure and some weight loss she will move forward more easily...

Both of them loved the fields though...and we gaited and gaited around them...

I have one of those bridges too! The creek is about 50 feet below the bridge and no way to get to it. There is also a hill and sharp corner, so when cars come it looks like they are coming right for you! The first time on that and on my new mare we had a car come just as we were half across the bridge. I thought I was a goner. She acted like it was nothing!

Geez, I wish I had fields like that though!!

I would have been ok if I had been on Vence....He is bold and go go go ....I have NEVER gone this way before but now that I know I can get to that park and cut green grass and paved bike trail...I will be there again..

I have only had Misty about 10 days and I have NO history on her...so I was a tad skeered..
