Thanks for the heads-up. Yep, it's a shame- that was one hell of a horse. Wicked REALLY lit the shavings up!! Takes a lot of time and effort to put together something like this.

I'm always glad to have footage of these greats- if I could get hold of some of the Skywatch/Imperator duels, that'd be icing on the cake. Or the Forecaster, Adelida, and Countdown triangle of what was it, year before last, maybe before that?

That Echo, with or without his shoe POPPED last night, didn't he? I could only see the Shiftlet proofs, but WOW. Did you get to go?

I was going to leave out Friday and go but no one wanted to go with. SOOOOO... I didn't go. I just paid my money and watched it on the live feed via the net. There were some really nice horses & ponies. I wa sjust in love with HCH Wildest Dream in either the 3 or 4 year old harness pony. He didn't win but he was just really nice.

I wanted to get the live feed, but many of the trot'ers said that it was really buggy at the time. That, and I had to attend a "can't miss" function that was deeply boring.

We're going to have to make a blood (or tequila) pact, you know... Sign it and everything. Whoever wusses out next year has to do something like streak at the Saddlebred Ball or something. Think of it as self-discipline (not that kind). We *have* to make ourselves go drool over real horses, party all night, wear *****in' clothes, hobknob with snooty people, sneak and touch the champions, etc. Will power!

Most definately! I figure if I out back about $50 a month, I should be able to blow it really good up there next year and stay for the whole week. One of my friends is the owner of Don Harris Stables so if we stick with them, we should be good to go. ;-)

Hm.. Yep, it's time to plan. I'm sticking some back so that I can hit every restaurant and jewelry store there. Becky doesn't know it yet, but she's going to have to come too- even though she's hardcore Paso, LOL. It's always best to travel in packs!
