I've been talking to the owner of Scooter's dad. Out of curiousity I'm trying to track down his brother, Blaze de Classico. They have both the same parents and I'm interested to see if they came out similar.......
This is what Scooter's father's owner told me........
I purchased Intimador de NFC (Sancho) on July 21, 1999. According to my records, Sancho was bred in Oklahoma, I'm sorry but I can't locate his breeder's name -- it was a gentleman though. In 1989, Sancho was sold to a woman in Dallas, Texas. She owned him for three years, selling him to Hacienda Classico in New Orleans, Louisiana. I figure Sancho must have been four, going on five when he sired Intochable de Classico. It was at Hacienda Classico that Sancho stood at stud. I'm not sure if Hacienda Classico is still around, especially after Katrina last year. I know a lot of farms around New Orleans were destroyed. In 1993, Hacienda de la Sol located in Franklinton, Louisiana, acquired Sancho and they had him gelded.
On his dam's side, I knew Arisca Dosa's sire: Joaquin Estaban. I was the head stallion handler on a Paso farm, where I met Sancho, and Joaquin was one of the stallions in my care. VERY nice stallion -- hated men, though, and could win any largo race.
I wish I could tell you for sure what happened to Blaze. There was so much going on when I purchased Sancho, that I didn't really inquire about his get. I know that he was a nice stallion, produced nice offspring and was a versatile show and trail horse. For some reason, I keep thinking there was a liquidation sale and that's how Hacienda de la Sol acquired Sancho.
Does anyone know of those places she mentioned?
