She hasn't been on since last night, and that's not like her.

Lori is just fine.... spoke with her and she is at her moms out of harms way. And you know as well as I do when with family it is sometimes nice to visit with family and let the BB slide for a night. :D

Well,....I had to go home after work and get my place ready for the hurricane, pack for Sebring, and drive 3 hours there with the cat in my lap for the entire ride.
....so that could be why I was not on last night since I didn't get home till nearly 11 pm. ;-)

And this morning, I went for a quick ride on Eclipse, gave the horses a shower, bathed and dipped Summer so she can come in the house, and took my car to be filled up with gas.

And now I'm here. ;-)

I wanted to top off the SUV and had to wait in a gas line for an hour this morning.

Welcome to hurricane madness in Miami !!!

Yeah, it started yesterday. There was a gas line already when I went to lunch and by the time I left work it was rediculous. I had just enough gas to get to Sebring. And there was a small line this morning here. :-?

I won't even tell ya'll the story about me and the gas line last year.....let's just say it makes the airport incident look minor.

Hey Floridians, I have a question. Everytime the news shows Florida getting ready for another hurricane, it shows pictures of people buying plywood at Home Depot. My question is, why not just install storm shutters??? As often as hurricanes hit, it sure seems to me ya'll could save money in the long run.

Plywood, and flashlights. Doesn't everyone already OWN a flashlight?? ;-)

They usually just save the plywood too.
And you end up needing at least one flash light for everyone....one just ain't gonna do it. And don't forget the batteries.

Yeah, they save the plywood to make illegal additions or enclosures, that look like someone did them on a Friday afternoon, after a six-pack.

THEN, they expect me to appraise it at full market value, as if it were professionally built.
