We arrived on Wednesday and came back on Monday and all of us wished we could have stayed there longer! We stayed at Melias Hotel in Ponce since Fox Delicias was completely booked. I dont have enough space to describe to you all the great details about our trip but I will tell you we are very glad we went there and we wish you all could have traveled with us. When we got to the show Saturday and the show coordinators found out we came all the way from Florida, we were treated like royalty. We even got VIP "bands" for free for Saturday and Sunday. We traveled most of the Island and stayed in different hotels. The food was great and we brought back lots of stuff we bought at the show.

If you want to see some of the pictures of our trip? Just go to the link below:

Feel free to email us if you have any questions!

See you all on the trails...

PS: Here is a picture of one little guy who was at the show but did not win anything!

I am SO jealous! 8-) I would have loved to have gone on that trip.

What differences did you notice in the show there compared to the shows here?

Did you see how huge that thing was?????? Here I thought my wife's dinner was coming and as it turned out it was my dessert!

I can't remember the name of any particular Stallions we saw. There were so many and such great conformations and looks to die for!

The shows down there are very very passionate. The judges are extremely detailed about breed traits and conformation. They have extremely high standards and they show no fear or any doubts about voicing over the microphone EXACTLY why any horse won or lost in a particular category. It was kind-of overwelming for me to listen in great detail to a judge explaining to a rider why his horse did not place in a category. Believe me, they do not hold ANYTHING back.

They will try to preserve the breed at any costs!

Thanks for sharing. I was surprised that the stands looked so empty!? Did you go on a trailride? It looks like beautiful country.
