Hello folks! We are looking for an older (8+), Trail quality Paso Fino for our Mother-in-law. At least 14.2. Geldings a plus! but mares are ok too.
Must be able to be ridden by an advanced beginner.
We are not interested in ex-show horses, hyper-drive horses or anything that has been injured, reared or bucked anybody off. We have owned Pasos for a long time and we know how to spot these "special horses" right away.
Please email me with pictures and details about the horse including asking price and location. We are located in Jacksonville, FL.
My email is: fireranger33@yahoo.com
Thank you!

Why does it have to be large? Is your mother-in-law a large person? I have just the mare for her if she is not. This mare has the most laid back attitude ever seen in a Paso Fino. I had a young lady who trained Pasos in Fla. come out to the ranch last weekend and she rode her and was amazed at how gentle and quiet this mare is, and she is smooth! This a mare for a beginner, a child, or an older person. Only drawback is is that she is only about 13.3 H. tall...but very good bone and nice weight. She is 8 years old. Truly a Paso Fino with a QH temperament.
See her on my salepage...there's an awfully nice gelding on there too but he is smaller than my mare.

Sigh...I guess I'd better list this mare in your classifieds, eh, Lori...it's just that my heart is aching so to have to sell her that I have really drug my feet about doing so. :(

My Mother-in-law already has a Jaranero colt that is 13.2 and thinks is too small for her. I will forward the information to her anyway and see if she is interested.

There is a NICE BIG gelding in Colorado...would that be too far away? He is a son of Excelencio de Resorte and is dark buckskin. His name is Alfredo de BANBROS...don't know if he is on pasoregistry..I have not checked....
EDITING TO CORRECT.....
I had writtien that he was a son of El Mejor...he is not..he is a half brother to El mejor and is a son of Excelencio de Resorte (owned by Vicki McQuinn? I think).....

I am supposed to go take some of him this week... he is big, stout, got really good bone & feet and a really nice, even Corto. he is a "go-er".
I am waiting to hear from his owner today......
JUST heard back..... asking price is $4000 (a steal for this horse IMO).
he is at least 14.2HH..I will put a stick on him when I go for photos...
His registration no. is 21058 PFHA and he will come up on Paso registry.
Registered name is Alfredo de Banbros...he is out of a mare named LaCebra MeLa. (Helene on this BB had a nice colt from this same mare)
He is identified as "bay"...he is not bay...he is dark, dapple buckskin...smutty dapple buckskin. he likely weights 1050-1100 lbs...all I can do is put a weigh tape on him... he IS overweight a little. the people who have him now just do not have time to ride....
