I have to say one thing about the Paso they are not boring,
my 5 yr old is changing every day....It seems like after he was trained at 3 he was pretty easy going and mellow.
now that he is 5 ((going to be 6 in the spring)) he is turning into a HORSE, he is now after many hours of trail riding in the last year , starting to figure out what he is suppose to do, he gives a little buck and tiny rear now and then because he is so excited, never out of controll, just changing.
and it is fun, safe, nice and exciting! Once he settles into the collection and gets the feel ( I dont ask for it I let him figure it out ) and it is so neat to see him do this. I think next year (after the winter mths ) he is going to be one hell of a horse. just took him time to grow up!
He was so collected at one point ((I had no rein on him )) he was almost in a fino. acting like he wanted to gallop ,,the energy in his body but he just let his legs get faster , it was FUN!!!!!
