I'm new to Finos--and just wanted some opinions on my new filly's bloodlines, you can see them here:

I know NOTHING about them.....and since I want to stick to Peruvians, she's for sale....but I am not sure what to ask or what to tell people who ask how she is bred (for what disciplines she'd excell in, potentially, based on her breeding). If that makes sense? =)

Thanks!

What I am seeing on the topside would mean smart, companionable, good natural pleasure gait, level headed. She should be very versatile and able to excell in a variety of "outside the box" disciplines.

But I am not expert...maybe someone else could lend their thoughts.

I like El Pastor in a bloodline for a trail horse.

What I have to wonder is that she is a 2005 filly, a yearling. It says she is 13.2 hh...is that what she is now, or what she is estimated to be.

If she is that height now, she should top out to be a nice-sized trail horse. If that her estimated ultimate height, she would have size limitations for a rider. Someone fairly small.

Tami P on this BB can tell you about Casanova Sin Par, he ia a chestnut tobaino pinto... he is not very tall. I think she will post about his recent injuries on the BB soon.

If the filly is a yearling and is already 13.3...than I'd expect her to be around 14.2HH or better by age five. How tall is the dam?

I'd bet the filly is pleasure gaited, and would be a good trail prospect. ;-)

Got pics? Is this the same filly as in the Peruvian thread?

Yup--she's very level-headed, calm, cool. Her dam was a trail horse & was 15h. I'd guess that she is around 13.2-13.3 right now--she's as tall as my two year old Peruvians! I'm hoping to train her for trail riding, if she doesn't sell......and yes, she's the same one I'm trying to trade for a Peruvian. =)
