I was told the best way to find Buddy a new home was to put him on here. He was rescued in 2003 from a family in SC that was clueless in horse care. His feet had not been done since they bought him, he was fed hay OR grain never both, and "his pasture is green and the goat is fat" mentality. I have epilpesy and no longer have the balance/reflexes I once did. He is a good boy, he just need someone consistant in thie training that can keep up with him. I have listed him in the classifieds as "Rescue needs a job", Please price is subject to discussion. A good ,secure home is more important than the money.

I am sorry to read of your forced parting with such a sad horse. So many people should never own horses.
I hope he finds a nice home (you are in a good area with many board members) and you can have a well deserved pat on the back for saving this one.

Terry, when I blew it up, it looked like a simple Q. But there is also something above it. Couldn't be sure it was a botched freeze brand or not......almost looked like an "M" and two short lines to the right of that.

I believe that is the freeze brand that she had put on the horse.

"m" "lightning" "Q".... any ranch that uses it? it looks like two different brands...the top two characters look "older" than the "Q"...
Or could the top read "m" slash, slash.... would it get you back to the breeder?

This horse is back on HC if anyone is interested. He really needs a Paso Fino owner/trainer vs a trotter owner. Someone anyone?

OK. I am not looking for a horse, esp. that far away, but want to help. Your ad is confusing. What is HC? Is this a paso fino? Does he gait? I figured if I am confused or wanting more info, maybe someone else is. Not meant in a bad way, just want to help.
Good luck.
Hmmm. I do know of someone looking. I will send info to them.

HC is another board. LONG story short he was rescued via that board so when I could not sell him after 6 months I put him on there for "free to good home" type thing. He ended up in Tenn, and now she needs to reduce her herd, and has had a time with his "paso-ness" (is there such a thing?) He is rideable but could do with being restarted Paso, as he does NOT gait at all under saddle for her; but he will at liberty, Or at least he did with us. I may sound like a fool or a broken record but I just think he NEEDS a breed specific person, to train/work with him and get him going really, really well. Nothing against his current owner, they may meld with time but...if she is reducing, then he is in need of this boards help.
