By 'Paso Fino tack', do you mean traditional _Colombian_ Paso Fino tack?

I think whatever you usually ride in should be sufficient I noramally ride bitless with a tucker saddle. I think all should be clean and neat .but if we try and recruit these largo horses in which most are used for pleasure trail it should be open tack and attire so that the entrants would not have to spend alot of money to come and compete

My main reason for wanting the largo race to be considered a part of the show is that if done alot of local shows will start offering them as well. I may not ever have the time or money to make it to Nationals but it would be nice to compete in the Pleasure Largo class locally.

I just wrote a letter requesting a largo pleasure class- if we all do it maybe we can get somewhere!! They can vote on it in January so everyone- let's write a letter- now and see what happens

If you want it voted on it to be a real class it must be presented as a rule change proposal. The next rule change proposals will be voted on in January of 2008.

I have no problem with a largo class as I mentioned but I still want the largo race as a demo. A largo class would be judged the way racking horses are - on all the criteria that make a good speed largo. The race is for fun and I'd like to see it simple. Leave most of the big decisions like DQ's to the judges once we have set up reasonable criteria such as "the judge may DQ for blatant unsportsmanlike conduct, excessive breaking of gait, dangerous horse misbehavior" and so on.
