I've got an oilskin duster that I've had for years and have only worn a coupla times. I needed it yesterday, and put it on. MAN, it reeks of mold! How do I get the stink out?

I just hose mine off and bake it in the sun. There is some kind of wash you can use on them. Seems like Down Under sells it. Try www.downunderweb.com. Could be one of the other Aussie saddle makers, though.

Spray it down with baking soda and water if the sun idea doesn't work. It wll leav a white residue but you can either wipe or wash it off. You can also try and 10 part water to 1 part clorox solution but I'd try a small inside spot first. Another alternative is to wash it down with disinfectant soap. It should kill mildew also.

How about a REALLY dusty, spider web covered one? Tried to hose it off once, but the water just ran off and left the dust.......
