My friend Pat bravely stood up to Animal control (that had been INVESTIGATING these horses since May) Yesterday she overrode Animal control and took these horses. 9 of the worst went to Days End Farm. 4 went to Freedom Hill rescue. Pat took 5 under the Chesapeake SPCA. I am sending Pat some money directly. If you would like to this is her pay pal addy.

And animal control was taking so long why? Holy cripes! Isn't it totally obvious to even the most moronic animal control agent that these horses are STARVING?
Let me see what I can send...

Linda my friend Sue called animal control last week..they keep telling her they are "watching him" they are fine..they have round bales..So another friend went in and took pictures and took them to Pat who is an SPCA horse whatever...and they went to a lawyer and found out that Animal control really legally does dogs/cats..and is not covered with horses..so Pats SPCA horse cruelty license over rode Animal control. So she took them..

I hope your friend does not get arrested for thieving horses.
She likely would here....
Its a fine line sometimes... and you bet those horses are skinny...but if the owner had just put in round bales, and was working with authorities to right this.... ?????
Just giving you a flip side of another view...
NO horses should live like that...from what I can see in the photos..I just hope Pat don't get arrested...TV media would be real helpfull if she does...

My friends mother is a lawyer...a good friend of Pats..they read the law she was "legal" and could over ride Animal Control..I am thinking Animal control is going to be in trouble over this one....since MAY ...thats a long time to see no results...
I did not mention..
One mare had an eye that was out and damaged
One had a hoof hanging 1/2 off...
Another had swollen joints very bad..
I am thinking 4 of these 18 will not survive and be humanly put down

We had a case here where a woman had a small herd of sheep in a small pen. She never cleaned the pen, but did feed the sheep. Several died of disease from the filth. She was turned in and the news made a big deal out of it, but there was nothing against the law in what she was doing...she was required to provide food and water.
There are slime balls all over. I hope the horses recover and Pat gets in no trouble.
