Chinook, our two year old colt with Shane, my son. Both hate to have their pictures taken....I tried to take some of the horse and he had his ears back in each one of them. I think he is worried I might try to sell him and he does everything possible to look bad. Now...my son isn't afraid to get sold, but I think he would have his ears back, too (if he could). He did bite his lip...Oh well....I wonder how professional horse photographers take pictures...I just can't.

Both are very nice lookin! I know what ya mean about the ears, they just know!!lol Very beautiful horse!

Very nice Helene, and I happen to love him, ears back and all.

The professionals I've seen have a helper who holds up a teddy bear dangling from a fishing pole (or something similar) to get their ears up, and the "Should I bolt or stand here and let it eat me?" look. LOL

Besides, with his ears back, you can see that the tips are tinted just the way I like them!

Nice Helene!...both of them!

The secrets to good photos are many... but a plastic grocery bag dropped from your hand in the air usually gets the ears up...or, just have a handfull of dirt and let it flow out slowly from your upheld hand...wave a ball cap above your head, flip the end of a lead rope toward the horse from a distance....or..my favorite thing...my key chain noise maker...makes about 9 different noises..from a machine gun to an alien sound... works real well! A noise they have never heard before generally perks those ears up....
