I posted this in the training section which was obviously wrong. I'm trying again!

I need a source for horsehoes. Our paso gelding does best in half-round #5 metric shoes and I've been unable to locate a source in Oklahoma. No surprise there this is QH country. Does anyone know of a place where I can order these shoes? Do you have access to shoes that are similar? We'd be glad to entertain any other suggestions for shoeing our geldings.

Polly..just got back from the new farrier supply.....there must be a $100,000 worth of steel in that great new store!

Here is the skinny on the #5 metric shoe that I was told by Chad Tuttle of Oleo Acres Farrier Supply:

The #5 metric shoes is the same size as a regular 00 half round shoe.
They do not stock the half-round metric size, as they are more $.

Here is a comparison photo for you...the top shoe is a #5 metric.
The two bottom shoes are size 00 half rounds. I placed the #5 metric on top of an 00 half round and there is very little size difference...barely any...

You can order from Chad at 719-495-9046 in Elbert, Colorado..or try the toll free line at 1-800-994-6536
