Today Cheyenne had to bring 'show n tell' She wanted to bring Listo! He's never seen so many small people at one time but when he realized they each had a treat for him, he was fine.

My friend took these with my camera (but she took tons with her camera so I'll have to post more later, when she emails them to me).

The newspaper came and did a little story and insisted on getting a pic of Cheyenne on Listo. I know, I'm a bad mom (no helmet) :( But, at this point, Listo was very calm and I trusted him to stand nicely.

There were kids playing on the playground around the corner and he was listening.... we could not get him to put his ears forward :D

Great job Debbie! And I'm sure you just had to have your arm twisted to show off your horse... ;-)

That was very nice of you and I'm sure there was more then one kid there who was thrilled to death.

You ARE a good mom!

Yes, it's true, I don't mind. This is the first time riding in town without a 'buddy'. Normally in parades, I ride with someone else. I knew he'd be a little nervous, so I parked my trailer at my office and let him eat some grass and tacked him up there in the yard. Then, rode him the 3 blocks to school (I sure got some weird looks). By then, he was used to the surroundings.

The lady from the paper just had this look on her face.... you know the look of someone that used to ride and hasn't had the opportunity for awhile. I said, "Do you want to ride him?". She didn't even hesitate. I told her what to do, and she was gaiting up and down the alley. I took a picture for her with her camera. He was such a good boy. I was proud of him. She couldn't get over how cool the gait was!

That was almost as cool as the kids. . . . . 8-)
