No, finoguy, don't show him...don't think he could take it...something has happened in his past to kinda mess up his mind in that area, I think... :(

I'm never going to play 'trainer' again...just going to do what I did before and start over...I started today just going out to his paddock with a lead rope and a bucket...tied the leadrope around his neck, down low by his withers...put the bucket upside down...led him over to the bucket...stood on the bucket,held onto the leadrope on his neck, swung my leg over onto him...and we just stood there for a few minutes then I got off..did the whole thing again..he never moved a muscle...then I got off and left him alone.
Centauress, I LOVE that new boy of yours, YOU have gorgeous horses too.. :D

Well I got really bad news for you PasoJoy---what you just describe IS training and the best kind!!!! You did what felt right for you and your horse!!!

CONGRATS!!! That is what training or really good horsemanship is all about! ;-)
