Matador is a buttermilk buckskin colt out of Suzanna Bravo, sired by Aldeano de Sol Reye.

Not a grey. Cannot possibly be a grey as the mother is bay and the father is palomino. Thus the creme gene making the horse a BUCKSKIN.

grey? No way! Not possible without at least one grey parent.
Lori has his color correct...buttermilk buckskin.

Computer monitors show colors differently. I bet the frosting on his mane and his pale body color make him look gray to PallyLover.

On his monitor it does appear grey to me too.
Very true about different monitors.

Would there ever be a weanling that was grey in color???????

Trinket looked like that at before she was a year but was grey and had started a different color. So I know she had to already be some grey before she arrived here at a year.

Yes PasoJoy...some lines grey faster than others. Sometimes HZ greys are very quick to turn...

None of my horses (except the black ones -- sometimes) look exactly the same color in a photo or on the computer screen as they do in person. It depends not only on the monitor but also upon the lighting when the photo was taken. In person, I image this colt's color is more creamy than what I'm actually seeing on the screen. He's a beautiful boy either way. I'd still like to know how tall he is now, as a weanling.

Ohh we never meant he was not a good looking boy because he certainly is.
Matador is now a gelding (too many colts around here!).
It took me long enough, but I finally measured Matador. He is 13.1 already, and 11 months old. I'll post a new photo soon. He appears to be shedding out with a dark mask on his face, in addition to some countershading along his back and dark patches around his shoulders. Perhaps he is going to be a sooty buckskin?
