Headed out on a benefit ride..

Taking Vence..Bubba and Misty..headed on a 15 mile ride benefit for the horses that were taken a few weeks ago (that I posted about) Taking the camera so hope to get some good pics...wish us luck...Appy

Actually Beth stood me up again and did not make it to go...so I took out a friends daughter. She rode Bubba and I rode Vence...Only pain was I had the big trailer hooked up so we took the big trailer for just 2 horses.

I am very proud of all the work we have done with these guys..We got to a creek crossing that was easy but a little tricky..where there was a steep drop off the oposite side was a smooth up hill. Where there was a smooth drop off the other side was a 4 foot cliff...you should drop down negotiate the stream and go up where it was better..

There were 3 people ahead of us...When we got to the stream one horse had already jumped it (about 5 feet wide) and the girl fell off..

the second horse was accross and she was yelling to the girl on our side to keep hitting the horse with the reins. Well the horse did not know where to go and I would not want him to jump to the other steep bank..so she gets off and I say you know dont let him jump on you sure enough she jumps over pulls his reins she falls and he jumps right on her leg..she gets up..I know that hurt..

I go next I drop down WHERE I WANT TO GO and go 15 feet down the stream and up the hill...NO PROBLEM...

Then Bubba same thing....no problems or hesitation at all...

We did about 5 stream crossings and some bad bad mud...NOT a refusal or problem at all

My work has paid off...I like my trail nags..

Shelley that stinks that you got stood up, but its wonderful news that your horses did so well & you're proud of them!! They sound like they're worth their weight in gold.... :D

I don't know Heidi, if you WANT to ride with Shelley. I did, and the only walking we did was across the highway! I think we cortoed and largoed for 3 hours straight! LOL....and that was with 'the Old Man' leading the way! He's quite the pace setter! LOL Sure was fun though!

Heidi, you're close enough, go ride with Boyd....he's quite the trail rider too...if you stay out of the trees. ;-)
