Well after much coaxing I have finally joined the world of APF. I have 3 paso finos, 1 youth rider and 1 that may start soon. We show, trail ride, do parades and exhibitions. This site is pretty cool!!!!!! :lol:

Thanks for the warm welcome all. One of my kids is already on the BB just not a whole lot and the other one is only 8 but maybe he will get interested soon.

Nice looking horses. How old is your daughter. Mine is 14 and yes she shows. But here in the NE Paso shows are few and far between so she shows at the local riding club or 4H shows in regular classes. We have trained the judges to ask for a trot or alternate gait. Her she is at a local show riding one of my paso Precision del Solitario (Rio):

I also have an 8 year old son who was interested in riding until he fell off my other Paso Dinamico (Mico). He still likes the horses but isn't ready to try again.

Well Darn, can't sneak anything past you Lori. I knew the race horse might give it away but she is so darn cute I couldn't resist sharing her pic. with you all. I have finally landed on the BB. Nice to talk with you. :D


Terri- Nice horse. My daughter is 11 and does some showing too. Kinda the same story with my son, he didn't fall off but he was put on an advanced horse at a clininc and got really scared. He loves the horses and he will ride if I ride next to him or we are at the riding school but he really hasn't been bitten by the show bug yet. I am looking forward to trail riding and fun things with the horses this year. My daughter considered 4H when we got into Pasos but at that time they didn't offer any gaited classes. Maybe I will check it out and see if they have them now. I loved 4H when I was a kid. Are you in New England, if so we used to race at Rockingham Park in Salem. I loved it there.

Now that we have you here Madame Prez.
Just a suggetion for your future shows...
Can the Novice classes be first before all the A/O and Open classes? If a Novice does well in that class, they are more likely to go ahead and sign up for another class. Or it's at least warm up for the newbies before the big A/O class. ;-) It just killed me when the Novice classes were last. :-?
