I am so glad that you actually have the papers now. This is "proof" that mutations do occur and that when a horse has been excluded when all factors are known, the testing should be further investigated.
The folks at VGL are "human", just like me and you. And I for one can tell you that lab work is not as easy in some cases as the machines and books say they should be. I am just very glad that I could help Shelley out in this case. Going the next step, having another lab look at this case, and calling VGL with the information I was given was not that hard. Sure it cost more money, yes it took a huge amount of time, but hopefully this case may help others with similar cases know which route to take, what questions to ask, and where to look for the answers.
Ah heck, it's just the wonderful world of "Science"! ;-)
Darn - there went my Alien theory....

Kudos to both Shelly and Tami for perservering and not giving up...most others would have taken 'no' for an answer and stopped.
Congratulations both of you. I know that THIS is the best possible outcome.

I agree too with the refund. It says right there in the letter that they are the ones who screwed up.

The refund in one DNA replacement kit is not the issue. VGL will not and is not expected to pay for the testing done outside their lab - my reseach was done by KY. I wanted knowledge, I paid for it, and now I have a much better understanding - it was worth it. Plus it was cheaper than a lot of clinics - and what I got was a one on one lessons!
Just glad that Shelley has papers - I got what I wanted.
