I finally tracked down the sister ( who's last name was Smith! ) who I actually paid to purchase Infierno. Her brother Mark was the one I always talked to and I just met her when I picked up Infierno and she signed the papers over to me. She didn't have a contact number or address listed with PFHA. I work for the phone company ... just try tracking down a woman with the last name of Smith when you don't know her husband's name. Mark was able to dig up some pictures and I have the police report number now, so I will be updating all the info with Netposse very soon. I'm heading to a horse auction about 4 hours away this Friday. The police are going to meet me there since I have a good lead that he might have been sold there. The auction barn keeps putting me off and won't give me any information.
I remember someone said that all horses that are from Ideal Farms are branded. This is " NOT " true. Also for those who thought the PFHA picture should have been used .... he was born BLACK! Do you think anyway would've been looking for a dapple gray when a picture of a black horse was on the flyers? I was desperate at the time and time was of the essence, so several kind people tried to help with a picture when I had no access to a computer and had very little communication out from my farm.
I appreciate all the kindness from so many that have been helping me search for Infierno and all the words of encouragement. For those who have been so negative ... I appreciate you to for bringing attention even if it was bad to The Stolen Dapple Gray Stallion Named Infierno Ideal....mabe he will be easy to remember any time you see a horse that could just be him, and I sincerally hope you never have a horse and a piece of your heart stolen as I have.

Glad to hear you are making progress, as little as it may feel like. Good luck at the auction. I hope it leads you to good news eventually.

Many (((((hugs))))) as I would never want to have to face what you are.

I wish you all the luck in the world locating Infierno. And my offer still stands to make a drawing of him if it will help.

Good luck at the auction barn....

Don't forget to check with the nearest Slaughter facility...it would be in Texas.... (not to alarm you further) if you get a good photo of the horse fax it to the facility..... have them post it there too, to help keep him in the forefront of employee's minds... and to deter the possibility of him coming to harm there....

How long has he now been gone? Where do you suspect he may be (what state)???

Beverly - there are also at least a few of us in NY who are not far from the Unadilla auction house - or if you get any leads that he may be in NY let us know!

I'll be doing some traveling for work in the near future, and will be in different parts of the state.....can make side trips to check leads etc....
