Have you ever put together a page like that?
Maybe you should consider doing page layout for people hoping to make flyers for their stallions or barns?

oh I didnt make the logo but I could do logos I just dont do them because no one needs them =]

Just a couple of corrections...
...writing contests which The work (uncapitalize T in the) fourth line in the blue text
So dont miss out ( apostrophe in don't is missing) sentence after blue text
Other than that, ver nice!!

Very nice!!! Great idea....

You should also promote the classifieds, for both selling and buying the perfect horse. I think people pay to put on classifieds and it helps support the site. I think promoting it is a good idea.

I agree, the classifieds should be highlighted somehow, and as Linda Y pointed out, there are a few mistakes. I would add to those, that the sentence where the T in the is mistakenly capitalized doesn't really make sense... It's a long run-on sentence, it would improve if changed into at least two separate sentences.

LOL - If you really look at the hooves - 2 are off the ground one( rear has weight on it and the front one is being put on the ground! ;-)

Put the rear legs down, and also the up leg in the front is a little too small. Other than that, I LIKE IT!!!

Kids art should be "Kids' Art" if you want to be grammatically correct, but "Kids Art" is generally okay. "Kid's" is too singular.

If anyone could do a better summary of this I'll surely change it but we have to stay with the same idea of promoting the whole forum on this page. I also got comments about the fonts and the blue texted writing, should I change it to black or a darker tone of navy blue?

as far as the paso I didnt make it =] it was sent to me by Lori but if she has the editable copy of it i'll do my best to bring that back foot down which wont be hard and also extend the tail a bit.

Be sure it's not copyrighted or trademarked. The MidAmerica Paso Fino Horse Association has very similar to it (I designed the first one and they have since improved it).

From a graphic designer standpoint:

1. Use one main type font...you can change its style to bold or such, unless your headline is something different. If you use a serif style for body than a sans-serif for headline. But don't be mixing more than one serif style.
2. Don't use all caps unless it is a short headline
3. The star bullets make it too busy...use a diamond, square or round bullet in blue or red color.

Logo is very eyecatching...Overall pleasing design. Best wishes.

Please oh please please please can I fix the horse??? Pretty please? One of my major gripes is logos with incorrect conformation. You can either email me the original logo, or I can work from the one on this post. How bout it???

what could be even more eyecatching in way of design of the logo..don't silouette the outer edges of the flag...keep them sharp, instead of the horse being black, make it white where its shape worked together with the stripes of the flag. I'd like to see this concept, would be more original in design that way. Might work or not, hard to tell unless you could actually see it.

Linda, Lori is on the road today, heading to Ocala, but go ahead and work on the horse. It will be Lori's decision whether or not to change the logo, but she is always open to suggestions. I think it looks great, I really like the general concept of it. Tweek it and lets see what we come up with. :D

Here is the logo with the type color changes as suggested. I changed the font slightly, too. I think I need to increase the size of the font, but at least it gives you an idea how it would look...

Are you talking about the horse at the top of the forum? If so, I only borrowed it from Cheri Prill because I didn't have a logo.

I'm dying to get that stupid horse on the home page off there...but whoever made the site made it very difficult to and time consuming to do so. I'm supposed to work on it with ShowTimes web guy next week. But he already look at it and said it was gonna be a pain. :-?
