Riding Batman in the practice arena(New RP)

((In this roleplay you rooleplay as yourself. Since there is only one you there is no need to sign up as yourself. Alex rode Batman around the practice arena, keeping him in a perfect corto. Batman's signature ears were erect as he concentrated on alex and all the things around him, completely aware of his surroundings.

Chris lead Mico to the ring with only a bareback pad. She watched Alex for a moment then called out to her. "Hey, do you mind if i join you?"

Hannah knew that both Batman and Mico were great horses but she had been gone for so long that she was afraid that she had lost her touch for riding...eventhough she was unsure she quietly led Barcelona into the arean and got on. Were Chris and Alex watching her? What were they saying? Did they even recognise her? Oh no they were walking her way!!!!!!!!!!!

"Hey Hannah!" Chris said merrily. "Going to join us? More the merrier!" Mico tossed his head unhappily, more horse more work for Mico.

Lisa decided to sneak in a little riding time, but diddn't want to bother with takcing up - "Hay, would it bother anyone for me to ride with halter/bareback?"

Grayson was cantering Nisha aroung the ring.They did a flying lead change and continued cantering the other way. As they came down to a walk, Grayson decided to go on a trail.She opened the gate.Before she left she thought that she should asked if the rest of them wanted to go on the trail with her?Nisha thought that it would be great but it was noon and it was hot! she pawed at the ground and snorted. The wind blew and cooled Grayson's face. Grayson could smell the fresh air, as she inhaled deeply."Ahhh finally some cool refreshing air"she thought to herself. Nisha drank water out of a near-by water trough. Grayson got of of Nisha to fix the girth it seem to have loosen while they were cantering. When she was done Grayson swung back into the saddle. A horse near by was galloping down the fence line.It was Mack,Grayson's dad's 16 hand,black,TWH. He was best friends with Nisha and didn't like her leaving the stable yard. Nisha turned her head and whinned."shh Nisha.It's ok baby"whispered Grayson."Would you like to go on a trail with me?"asked Grayson.

Chris was more then happy to go trail riding, it was her favorite. She swung up onto Mico and grinned. "Lead the way!"

Grayson decided to lead them down a wetlands trail.At the bottom there was a pond with cyrstal clear water.Nisha loved this trail and picked up her feet as she jogged along.As they rounded a corner a deer jumped out Nisha side stepped then turned her attention back to Grayson.The winding trail continued down the hill,as Grayson asked Nisha for her right lead canter.The pond was sparkling as the sunshine dance across the water.It was warm outside,so Grayson steered Nisha to the edge of the pond.Nisha slowly went into the water,first she pawed and sniffed.Nisha decided it wasn't that bad and walked in deeper."Come on in the water feels great"Said Grayson as she looked back at the others.

Dark was coming on as the last of them came out of the water. "we'll have to go back......at a gallop"said Grayson as she saw how far away they were from the barn.

But Mico had decided that the water was going to kill him and he was not going to cross. "Mico, baby, come on." Chris babed him along. but mico's mouth had become rock and his hooves melted down. The pony would not budge

Hannah was silent as she watched the others struggle with their horses she decided to wait and see if they picked up on the signs that the horses were giving them signs that they didn't want to move because something wasn't right something was unsafe and only the horses saw it...

All the sudden Nisha reared. There was something swimming toward them.... :runaway: :horsey: :runaway:

Mico trieffied as he was gave Chris a "i-told-you-so* look. Chris hopped back on, tring to get onto a safer position and asked. "What is it?"

Gypsy came largoing up to the pond from the other direction when all of the sudden the funny face of an otter came popping up out of the water with a big splash!! Chinook gave a start and then a dirty look and Gypsy squeeled and then started laughing hysterically! " I though it was a gator or a snake for sure!!!"

Grayson kept pressure on the reins as she calmed Nisha down. The otter was now out of sight. Nisha was relaxed as she nibbled at the sweet grass under her. "I think we better move on" Said Grayson as she moved Nisha into a trot.

Chris chortled happy. Silly her, it was an otter. A harmless otter. Mico pranced unhappily, he did not like it when werid animals popped up on him.

Grayson felt Nisha move to the other side of the path but looking into the woods.Grayson looked and looked,but didnt see anything.Then the was a soft crunching on the ground....

Chinook snorted as a wild hog and her two spotted babies could be seen not to far away digging up roots and eating them. Gypsy motioned for them to move in the opposite direction. Wild hogs can be extremely dangerous, expecially with young.

Grayson suddently remembered a book she had read by her old instructor called An Independent Spirit. The book refered to a few wild hog attacks, the hogs had razor sharp blades,and even on their little short legs the were fast. Something inside Grayson told her to gallop away and not look back. But she knew that the fast movement would startle the pig,and send it into a charge,which would threaten the lives of all the riders.
Grayson decided to go slow and steady. Keeping a watchful eye on the pig as they past by.Something must have startled the pig because she came running at the riders...

"GO GO GO" Yelled Gypsy as Chinook took off at a full gallop - neck stretched forward, determined look on her beautiful face, her hooves pounding the forest floor, legs moving 100 miles an hour. "Watch out for low limbs" she yelled as she leaned forward almost lying on Chinooks neck.

Nisha must have knew the danger because it didnt take any urging for Nisha to be in a full gallop. Grayson got into jockey position as she heard the boar close on the riders heels. A low lying limb was up ahead, Grayson laid down almost flat on Nisha back.She felt the brush of leaves on her back,She sat upright and felt Nishas hooves flying under her she felt safe as long as she was on Nisha. Then......

Chris trusted Mico to do what he thought nessicary she felt herself being spin around and Mico headed back for the water way and he took chris to the middle of it. the hogs stood at the egde of the water way, Chris was cornored. "Oh no! Mico what now?" Chris was terrified, Hogs on land and goodness knows what in the water. The her friends back in the woods with the rest of the hogs. Chris glanced around, there was noway out!

Nisha was fighting the reins to go back.Grayson let Nisha have her head,as Nisha's legs started to run the pig blocked the path..Grayson turned her head slowly and saw 5 bady pigs. Grayson felt her heart sink as she remembered that wild pigs will kill,just as long as their babies were safe. Nisha backed up,and troted up to the wild pig and jumped over them. And galloped like crazyto her friends.

The mama pig decided that the horses were no long a threat to her family and happily trotted away. The riders contined at top speed for about a half a mile until they reached clearing where they stopped to figure out where they were as dusk was approaching. "Whew!!! What a ride!!!" gasped Gypsy!!

Nisha pawed as they stopped to talk about what happened.

I (Heidi) had been riding my young filly in the woods when she spooked and we became lost when she ran off the trail and I couldn't find it. I am terrible without a marked trail and have NO sense of direction at all. I heard screams and yells earlier, and though I thought surely something was wrong, I knew that I wanted to be with people! It was getting dark, and I was unfamiliar with these woods. As I headed towards where I had heard the shouts, I came out into a clearing and saw a group of horses and riders across the meadow.

Q and I cortoed towards them saying "Helloooo! Can you help us, we are lost?!"

"sure " repiled Grayson as Nisha looked up to see the newcomer.

Chris sighed in reflie as the hogs went away. "Ok Mico lets get out of the water." There was a slight problem were was she?

The group welcomed me and we introduced ourselves. During the introductions, someone looked around and said: "Hey! Where are Chris and Mico?!"

Grayson moved Nisha into a floating canter down the path.
