Is Chucuano, the sire of Yoli, the same horse as Chuchano, the sire of Plebeyo? Are there two different horses named Chuchano? This is confusing.

Could you post a link, or the registered name of the horse with Yoli in the pedigree...that might be helpful.
There were more than one Chucuano. In fact, there was a group of horses from a certain region in Colombia, that were known as The Chucuanos. More info would help people in answering your question. I couldn't find Yoli listed.

Thanks for the info. Yoli was the sire of Marinero (108044).
I guess the two Chucuanos must be entirely different horses:
Chucuano - 104858
Chucuano - 104617

It looks like it's likely the same Chucuano (that sired Plebeyo), as sometimes the numbers for the same horse are different...just human errors in entering the information. The timeline looks about right, but as with any pedigree...nothing is set in stone before DNA testing.
You might want to check with Brenda Sparks, to see what she thinks of all of this, as I believe she bred Marinero to one of her mares and produced a La Marinera del Paso. You can find her contact info here:

I think someone on this forum sees her on a regular basis, and might help you out.
