I was reading through my Dec Issue of PFHW last night and saw the two campaign ads for our presidential nominees. Both mentioned a "strategic plan". What is that?
OK, at the risk of being reminded of "inflamatory accusations", how can a person that has had their judge's card permanently revoked run for a national office? To me, I want someone that displays integrity in ALL aspects to be in office. How in the world did that nomination get approved?

I don't think the Association can stop anyone from running for office.

Candice, the BOD met in March and came up with a Strategic Plan for PFHA. It's a big document. I have it and will e-mail it to you (if you want). PM me your e-mail address.
A short synopsis would tell you that the organization wants to focus on the recreational rider and gear our marketing in that direction. Better communications, etc.

:( I was afraid of that Cindy....I was thinking maybe people take the risk that the PFHA membership is so full of newbies that they can run for office and actually get it. Sorta like a revolving membership. With enough new people who don't know the history of the person in the breed, that person can get elected. Amazing.
Thanks Carol, I'll pm you about that. It is perturbing though to think such an effort like that is dependent on the BOD, which is too volatile and unstable to see anything long-term into fruition--what's the turnover rate for BOD members? Seems to me that is where the Executive Director and his staff should be charged with keeping long-term goals.
Bleck! I can't believe I'm getting politically motivated. Someone must've done some gene splicing in my sleep.
