Went trail riding the other day, prabably our last since all the parks are closing for winter..

We were wearing orange, and tied yello and brigght orange shirts to our saddles so hunters wouldnt shoot us...

We heard LOTS of gun shots, but not hear our trails, thank god!

You are much braver than me even with the orange. I was wanting to go out riding the other day and my brother who hunts told me to stay home. He said I could get hit by a stray bullet. Some of those bullets can travel for several miles! :shock:

yeah, I was worried about hunters, the park we rode in is surounded by private lands w/woods and lots of fields.. But we did ok, we did see some deer too..

Just east of the park is also a shooting range which is where I think we heard so much shooting, thank god they were shooting opisite direction of the trails.

We did see ALOT of no tresspassing no hunting signs too...

I know all about those no trespassing/hunting signs. We have 36 acres and only let family members hunt here. I cant tell you how many times we have had men in trucks to stop and badger me about hunting here.. even when I tell them no.. and they see the signs. We have had them drive down our driveway in their trucks with the deerstands in the back.. and have to stop them. Several times we have heard three wheelers back there but by the time we get back there they are gone.

You never know who is lurking out there in the woods during hunting season. The lure of the big buck.. somehow makes them crazy. They walk right past those signs.. like they never even see them. ;-)

What a great picture! We have a few places we can ride with no hunting allowed. I don't mind the bow hunters. At least they're quiet, and no stray bullets!

Bow hunters would scare me even more just because I couldnt hear them!! I would get hit, thinking it was wild indians and never even know it..lol
