9:21 am EST... whole herd of wilderbeast and babies.... some gizelles..
I've set the link up as my screen saver when I'm in the house... It's gotten to where I can tell by the chatter of the birds when something is coming to the water hole....
If you record the time you see something then we can get the pattern and know when to look....... I was amazed that the camera panned the herd and then selected a baby to zoom in on.... then pan back out to the herd and go to the gizelles...... is someone monitoring that camera..???

It's not actually the screen saver.... I just set it up as full screen when I'm done with everything else..... and the screen is covered with the video and the sounds go all thru the room.....

I think they must have a sophisticated motion detector that is set up with the camera in some way. JMHO. ;-)
Edited...nope I take that back...I just watched a whole group of Hyennas come gets water and the camera didn't scan or move.....our photographer must be alseep.

I can hear African signing in the back ground. This must be set up close to a community.
I saw an elephant around noon--boy, could you hear him/her coming !!! trumpiting, and then some gazielles and a hyenia but it is now dark there. There must be a person, as it does scan around at times. Also, there was a thunderstorm and it was weird hearing thunder coming from the computer  This is really a neat place to watch. I love animals, and Africa is a neat and different place.

I've just started watching but haven't seen much yet. I saw an elephant (around 9 am CST) but thats about it besides a few birds.
I'm trying to figure out the best times to check it out.
FYI - you can go to www.wavelit.com for the actual website that doesn't just load directly onto your media player. They have another one for bears. Not sure where that's at though.

Okay, I know there's nobody here right now, but I have to share.
Zebra and deer just showed up too. So worth staying up late!
Yes==our "late" is their early morning  And we saw the zebras and later was one hyenia that they zoomed in on. Fasinating!

This is such a great site. I appreciate y'all finding it so very much. For those of you on EASTERN time ... it is daylight there from about 10 p.m. until Noon our time.
Another thing - I believe the camera is operated by remote control. And I believe the remote control is located in the nearby lodge. In case you haven't seen it, when the camera turns 360 degrees around from the watering hole, the lodge is visible at 180 degrees. It's my opinion that folks at the lodge are allowed to "view" the animals closer than from there.
I first thought it to be a one-man thing, but yesterday some person was on there whipping the camera left and right really fast. Usually it's at a nice slow pace, taking it all in. Zooming only when something is visible in the distance. I laughed to myself, thinking, "I wonder if there are kids allowed there."
So far, for newbies, elan/gazelle/impalas (not really sure which one(s) they are, so include them all), monkeys, zebra, elephants, wildebeest & their young, ducks, large cranes, hyenas and one BIG cat at night.
