"some fun photos from fall"... say that ten times fast!

I love looking at everyone’s photos, and so I thought that I would share some of my own. These pictures were taken earlier this fall. (Grass is no longer visible on the ground now, beings it’s covered by a thick blanket of snow. Brrr!)

This is Otoño, a grandson of Candelario de la Vitrina who is a direct son of Terremoto de Manizales. He is my favorite horse on the farm.

This is Otoño and Piper playing. Piper is half Paso Fino, half Arabian/Saddlebred mix.

This picture makes me laugh because Otoño looks so fierce, even though he is really a sweetie-pie. These two colts are the best of pals. (Boys will be boys.)

I absolutely love those photos! I wish my place was big enough that my boys had room to run like that.

The fourth horse in the last photo made me say wow. He really wants to catch up....

Thanks everyone.

The horse in the bottom picture at the end is jumping over a hole or something. He is definitely the slowest runner, due to the fact that he is so tight and collected, even when he gallops he has a slow forward movement. (He’s very athletic though!)

CarolU, did you used to live in Montana? I love Montana, and the only time I consider moving anywhere else is in winter! ;-) We live about 60-minutes away from Butte, and yes, it has been cold. (Does your friend from Butte have Paso Finos?)

No, my friend in Butte is getting his Masters Degree in Health and Safety. He defends this coming week, so won't be in Butte long.

I've never lived in Montana, but spent part of every summer growing up on a family-friend's ranch outside West Yellowstone (near Enis). His ranch was remote and in the winter (before snowmobiles) he'd have to pack with his horses out once a month for supplies, to Enis, get his truck, then into West Yellowstone...and back. Once there were snowmobiles, he'd do the same trip on snowmobiles. He didn't have power (except from a generator) until I was in my 20's. My father's ashes are on that ranch. It's a very special place for my whole family.

I would love to have a summer place up there (and a winter place next to Carol N in Texas) IF I had enough $$ for two places. LOL
