View Full Version : Anyone wondering where the heck Lindsey is?

I'm not asking for a tabloid exposE, but a check-in would be nice for the people that miss her and hope she's all right, whether here, or pm, or email.
The disappearance of rogues like moi is welcome. The disappearance of Lindsey is not to go unmarked or unmourned. Shall we send a search party? I hope she didn't go to Aruba...
It actually ran through my mind less than an hour ago to do a search to find her website (lost it when I changed computers). Hoping she still has the website and the training question/answer page.

One of the Board's Bestest Buds for like six years. She helped a lot of people with her readiness to answer paso questions (she trained for Finca del Padre and Belleza Stables) and columns in a small paper down south, and when Pam left us, she helped out there by finding good homes for all of Pam's stock.
Then she poofed.
And now it's time to go huntin'.

Well, its no secret tht she and Adam have split. She is going through some major life changes, give her time.
Lindsey if you are lurking, know that we care about you and will greet with open arms when you come back to us!

Adam posted on Charlie's board that Lindsey had gone out of the horse training business and sold all her horses. Adam still has two of the foals, I gather the rest are at Ron's.
Lindsey has changed directions in her life. That's all I know, and I don't even KNOW it. That is what I read on Charlie's BB.

Well, no it isn't, but I wasn't trying to point that out. I was more concerned for her sanity and safety. Time-giving is a no-brainer.

I miss picking her brain, and seeing if what I tried with Monty was the right tact! Also editing her articles for her -
Time will tell - just hope she stops by here to say hello once in a while when she feels like it -
I missed her and thought about how much fun it was for me to watch her show last year in Madison WI,and how really thrilled I felt for her when she won! :D

I just asked Carlos if he knew where she was, and he told me that he was told she was in the Army Reserves and was called into training. Now we don't know if that is true...but that is what I heard this weekend. I didn't know she was in the Reserves, but if she is...maybe that is why the disappearance.

FYI, not EVERYONE who goes to Aruba goes missing, what happened to Natalee Holloway is just an unfortunate case. And we are just fed up with trying to prove to outsiders that we're not a dangerous island where all tourists get attacked and go missing. And it's such a shame for newscasters and such to put Aruba in such bad publicity, and call it a third world country and so on. We really aren't the only place with missing american people
Ginger

I will address my opinion on the Holloway matter in private if anyone's curious (has something to do with females having better sense than to drink so much tramp in a bottle that they lose control of their judgement and relinquish their well-being to strangers, etc. etc. etc.).
Brigitte. Thank you for your input, yes my comment was, in retrospect, a poor attempt at an aside, and the intent was not to hijack the thread and turn it into Fox News. Thanks. My intent wasn't to bash your country, but I can see where it certainly came out that way to a native (you are in Aruba, right? I wouldn't be doing this if you lived in say, Jersey, or something) I shouldn't have said it here, again, but let's try and keep this Lindsey, not Missing Pretty Blonde Cheerleader Who Drank Too Much(Lindsey didn't cheerlead did she? That would totally undermine my respect for her. Bah. Blech. Cheerleaders.)
So, Yay Aruba. Lindsey-gone-missing-come-back-please. Are we good?

Has anyone called Ron? I don't know him very well, but have talked to him on the phone before. When I was at Lindsey's in March, he was never home. Poor guy works LONG hours.
I haven't talked to Lindsey since May.... hope she's okay!!
Edited for UPDATE - I called Ron's house. Nobody home and no machine!!
I'll try later. I know she had a friend Roxanne that went to Tunica with her. I have her work#. I'll try her tomorrow....

BTW Brigette,
I have not been to Aruba, but have been to Bonaire, and want to say that I feel safer - indeed AM safer - there, then I am here in the US. You live in a beautiful country and are very lucky.
I don't think Lindsey is 'missing'...she just is doing something different with her life right now and people that used to know her, miss her. That's all.
Maybe her path will wonder back towards her old friends, maybe it won't. Whichever way her path lays, I wish her well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Aruba and Bonaire and very likely the reason the young lady is missing is because she felt safe in Aruba. But even in the safest place you can still walk into the ocean and drown or something.
Let's hope someone in contact with Lindsey just lets us all know that she's ok.

Lindsey is my best friend, and we have been in contact. In fact about a week ago she called me and we talked for about 3 hours while I was working, I was glad I had a slow day and could talk to her for that long.
By the way, no she isn't in the Army Reserves but I really can't say where she is at, I don't want to tell more than Lindsey would want me to. All I can say is she is going through a very tough time, a lot of big changes and really I hate to say this but at this time I think it is just best to leave her alone, give her her space and let her work this all out for herself.
If and when she wants to come back into the Paso world "and right now it isn't looking like that will ever happen" but if she does just welcome her with open arms and not ask too many questions, just let her open up if she wants to.
Oh, and yes, Ron has all the horses except for the babies that Adam now has.

Yes Lindsey is okay. She is not missing, hurt or in danger. In fact she has a very good support system right now.

It may have gotten sidetracked - but this thread started out to ask about Lindsey and hopeful , if she did pop on - to let her know we love her ,and miss her and are here for her - whenever ,and if ,she ever wants to come back - even to just chat .
It sounds like she is going through a rough time right now and needs her space - I am willing to give it to her - she is young and had a big load placed on her shoulders at what I would call a young age - when you are getting close to 60 - things sure look different than at 21! ;-)
I hope she finds what she is looking for and can get on with her life ! I wish her well and do miss her - and pray she is happy!
And please - unless you DO know the real story - please ,please, don't spread rumors or gossip - based on something that can't be verified OR hasn't come from her !

Hi Brigitt,
I've been to Bonaire - one of the safest places I have ever spent time in. I would think that Aruba has the same kind of ambiance.
Edurne
p.s. life is dangerous for any young woman travelling on vacation and going out with people by herself that she does not know.

Believe me, I would never just make stuff up especially about Lindsey. And I do know the real story but most of it I don't feel comfortable repeating because it is Lindsey's private life. Heck I'm the one who had to tell her mother where she was, she called me too Pascale and I let her know so that is probably why she didn't email you back because she already knew.
I did ask her last week when I talked to her if she ever checks in here or reads the posts and she said no.

Sending good vibes and mental hugs Lindsey's direction...

Life is too short to waste on things you don't want to do or for some reason at this point in time can't do. One day you're 21 and the next day you look in the mirror and this geezer looks back. How the heck did I get inside that body you wonder and where did my other body go????? So do the important things and laugh and love and enjoy because nothing in life is permanent and you run out of time really fast.

Exactly what you should be doing ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
I've never understood why our society is so condescending toward geezers. We've done a heck of a lot more than than kids, been a lot more places and had alot more fun. My wish is that the younger be able to stand on our shoulders and see even better things but many are too dumb to try it.
You know you're old when you're discussing a hike with a couple and mention where you went and their response is "Well good for you!" Grrrrr - wanna backhand them.

Hey, the Phantom rang in with HIS vote! Look! (no, it wasn't me- you can't change a vote after it's been cast, but I'm curious who it was)
PS- I'm further curious if they even had an idea of the origin of that line. I'd give 'em a marzipan bar!

I know how it feels to want to get away from the internet for awhile. Sometimes you just dont feel like talking about what all is going on in your life and to avoid the questions or just not feeling like pretending everything is ok when its not..its hard. I have never met Lindsey but she was always willing to offer advice and I thank her for it especially that advice she has offered to me. I have a sneaking suspicion horses will always be a part of her life.. one way or anther..

I thought i would say something. I just didnt work out between lindsey and I and so I was asked to leave after the springfield show. Lindsey did leave the farm soon after and sold her horses to ron. I did keep Nemesis and Athena for my own farm uses. Lindsey now lives with her new boyfriend and is from what i heard doing well. She doenst have any interest in horses anylonger and I wouldnt expect to see her with horses again. I do wish her luck with her new life and happiness.

Thanks for letting us know!! We were worried. I hope you are doing okay too, Adam.

I ran into Ron on the side of the road this weekend. I was on my way home to PasoMom's and I saw a trailer w/paso fino logos pulled off of the side of hwy 27. I slowed down to read the name of the farm and it was Full Moon PF, and Ron was filling up his gas tank. I did a U turn to see if I could help out. Turns out he was just worried he wouldn't make it to the next gas station and thought he better put the reserve he carries in. Anyway...I got to chat w/him and he said he just got a new trainer from Fla coming to the farm now. (I forget his name). He also had some real nice horses he just purchased in the trailer. ;-)

That's good to hear. Thanks for the info, Lori!
It's going to be weird for those horses, having a male trainer, though. They all loved Lindsey so much, you could tell.

Adam I was so sorry to hear you and Lindsey split up. I know it must be very difficult for you. Hope things are going well for you now. Mr. E. and I have been been togeather for such a long time it is hard for me to picture him not being with me. It upsets me when a young couple split up but times do change. People want to do their own thing and follow their dreams. Much luck in the future.

Well, I'm glad one of you got to stick with the horses. I'm sorry that things didn't work out.
I don't think any one of us on this board is qualified to be a marriage counselor or therapist, since most of us have either not been married or have been divorced, but if you need friends, here we are, and the same offer would go to Lindsey if she weren't un-horsey. I wish both of you well, no matter what happens.

Lori I think you thinking of the wrong ron. Did you see him in Mo. I dont know of full moon paso finos. Rons farm is finca del padra. I dont know how things on the farm are going. I am not allowed out there unless its time to pick up the babies. I may get to go out there this weekend but maybe not. So i havent seen the babies in about a month. Ron was very mad and took alot of it out on me. If i go out this weekend i will take pics. Lindsey gave most of our tack away before she left but i was able to get enough to carry on for now. Yep it started out ok but then she decided to sell the horses and thats when it all turned bad. But i am sure things will work out for both of us. I will be taking the horses sept 2nd back to nebraska till i can get back on my feet. Ron was nice enough to let me leave them there till then. i guess he really didnt have a choice since athena isnt old enough to move yet.
