Sure can put it on your web page! We just got a touch of snow today - the first of the season. She's eating great and flirting with little nickers when she walks by Cancionero - it is SO cute  . Briana will ride this weekend - I'll post more photos for sure. She did get on her in the moonlight last night and rode for a few feet bareback - She was so happy with just that and asked to ride her today but we only had time for photos before it got dark on us.

Well, Nero is very happy to listen! She has been calm - she got a little excited today when we walked her up the hill to the house - she didn't care to be away from the other horses but was still well behaved.

Yes she was upset to leave Condesa yesterday...Condesa was the boss...Seh will be fine in a few days...she did not get much riding here at all this summer..she needs some excercise she is getting fat again.

Wow! I was enjoying the avatar before the other photos came up. They're beautiful! Congratulations! It looks like a match made in heaven. Appyday, thanks not only for saving her but for parting with her, so we could enjoy seeing such wonderful pictures of her now. Briana must think she's in heaven or dreaming with such a pretty, sweet pony. You did fantastic, Appyday!

Sue, Shelley, & Jose,

You did a wonderful thing here for Brianna, and even though I always enjoy everyone's pictures on this BB, for some reason these pictures touched me more deeply. I feel very happy for Brianna....I remember when I got my first horse, and how that felt - the feeling is like no other.

What a perfect time of year to bring Star home...at Christmas. Now everyone will be brought even closer together because of this special horse. Take lots of pictures to always remember this....

Ya know, I'm beginning to think that Shelley wants any excuse to go get Star back!

For goodness sakes, don't tell her if Star snorts wrong or starts making faces--she'll be there in a heartbeat!

Appyday,

I was just on your website a couple days ago and I saw that beautiful PR mare Star for sale! I was just telling my freind about her today.....She was on my mind a lot lately.

I'm so glad she got such a wonderful home! I saw something about you "saving" her? That is so wonderful.......where did you get her from?

Congratulations to Star's new owners! If Star is anything like my PR horses she will be a love!

I could not get past Jose running...and the look on his face http://forums.somd.com/images/smilies/roflmao.gif. So is Briana not used to going out on her own (with others)? You can pony Star you know if Jose has a horse that will pony...I cant wait to see more pics...post away..

swaite
12-09-2006, 08:12 PM
We'll probably try that tomorrow - Baron will pony and Jose can ride whoever - it is going to be beautiful weather. Only problem there is that I'll have to trot! Briana has ridden Baron before and has good balance and knows a little about riding but we just want to be sure she has good control etc before going out free - we are probably over protective parents!
I'll post more photos tomorrow............

I am glad you are being careful you dont know the mare...Only thing if she does not have enough cotrol with bringing her down I would do a thicker leather curb..that is what I rode her with. Nothing wrong with being careful...Yes use Baron to pony and when you get on the trail you can cut her loose and walk she will follow..as long as Briana has the Whoa down you will be fine..but Star can like to gait and go even for her age but will stay with the group...slow or fast..group speed...

PLEASE put a helmet on this beautiful girl's head. She is so precious. My daughter fell a couple of times and now ALWAYS wears a helmet. She is so used to it, she won't do without.
I am still working on boots all the time....

Shelley, atleast if you had to sell Star you found the best family in the world for her!!It is WONDERFUL to see how much they love her!!Sue,the priceless pictures you've posted take me back to when I was a horse crazy child with no worries and so many dreams about getting my very own horse.I actually got my own pony at four yrs. old but only got to have him for a year or so then back to dreaming.Children have so much energy, they don't live with pain all the time, and they have so much more worry free time to go out and be with and love on and adore their horse not to mention the weather does not get to them nearly as bad.It has been SO good to see your pictures and beable to revisit so many of my warmest most fond memories.I do hope you will continue to share Briana's,Jose's,and Star's loving relationship with us.Revisiting all of my memories and feelings from back when has actually gotten me out to just hang out with and love on my two girls even in the freezing cold when before I would have stayed inside and just watched them through the window. My girls are SO loving and soak up love and attention like a sponge so I know Chica and Rosa thank you as well.Your paso friend,Moniece

Barbwire
12-10-2006, 11:32 PM
Moniece, I really don't think that Shelley had to sell Starr. It's not like she is ready for the poor house or anything. I am sorry if you didn't mean it that way, but it was sort of implied by your wording.

I believe that she found an excellent home for her and it was very kind of her to make little Briana's horsey dream come true.

Moniece Dickerson
12-11-2006, 01:57 AM
Oh no no Barb,I did not mean it that way at all.Just wrong wording I guess.I did not realize it sounded that way.I know Shelley is not headed for the poor house and I know that because She sold Star to them this young girls dream came true and that they are the perfect home for Star.I meant no insult or disrespect to anyone.Your paso friend,Moniece

Edited to add-

You bet KAB,i'll do my best to get new pictures tomorrow for an update :D !
