Rode Bruja yesterday

Went to Rick Shaffer's to ride my filly Bruja and the two horses the boss has there also;a 3 year old gelding and a 5 yr old mare. Bruja is a hot little number but easy enough to ride.She is still resisiting when asked to back though :cry: ..She also tends toward being very stiff and I will really have to keep working with her.The 5 year old is just one of those GO GO GO type horses that didnt have a 'stand still' or 'whoa' that worked for more than 3 seconds thing down ..I think I can deal with her now.Rick showed me how to get her to concentrate on the rider and she will actually walk now!!Going to list her for sale though.She needs to be somewhere that she will be ridden a lot and by someone who is NOT a beginner..I think with time she will be a great horse.She a nice bigger mare.The gelding is gonna be a nice little trail mount with enough flash to show local if he wants.Rick's Dad has already told me to call him if we decide to sell him :D They are coming home next Thursday the 14th .The plan is to turn them out to be wild critters until after the holidays(the youngsters have been in training since the middle of August and need a vacation..) then start back with them a few times a week.I hope I can keep my energy levels up over the winter (always hard for me.Once work is done at 4 I just wanna go sleep...That way in the summer sometimes too)
Then I am going to Nola's on the 17th to see Abejita..and she will come home over the New Years Holiday..I dont think she will get much of a 'break' though..Probably turn her out to play for a week then start back ..depends on the weather also..Nola wants to use her at the Horse Expo at the end of February .We are gonna stick her in a corner of the arena with the ball!!LOL So I HAVE to keep her going!
Going to be weird having all the kiddies back home again..
