The 3rd one would be best if cropped. The lighting is better, not as many shadows.

She will be coming out to ride with me sometime after Christmas. I think I am going to haul over to a local State Park with easy trails. She will be riding my 23 year old paso mare as a beginning. Lexi is pretty tolerant but will let her know when she is doing something that she does not like. She will have to graduate Lexi University before I let her get on Phoebe. ;-)

Oh, thanks for the compliments on the dress. I will tell my mother.

We have a pretty good system. It comes from my old days of being in beauty pageants. I would sketch out the dress that I wanted for that year's competition and then mom would make it.

Now that I am older and into parades, I sketch out my horsey concepts and mom and I both work on them together. Each time we make a dress we figure out something that we can do to improve the way it lays on the horse and splits in the front. Mom is teaching me what she knows and I am getting better. I made the ruffled skirt that goes with my blue dress. I am still learning about jackets and vests but I think I will have the hang of it soon enough. We have fabric for 4 more dresses waiting in the wings. I am working up my concepts and hope to have some lovely parade frocks for next year.

If I ever get good enough, I would like to start making them for other people. Kind of a special order sort of thing. I have told mom that she should do it, but she refuses to make dresses for other people unless they are in the circle...we owe Starr a dress. ;-)

:D Well don't you clean up nice ;-) The last photo shows that super dress MMa made and Phoebe looks good to but you look so happy and pretty I see why they all like your first best> You look good in both but the beaming smile makes it in the darker shot.
