my husband has a home work assig. to do and needs pic's,, I have cropped all mine and never kept the FULL size. so now we need help.

please e-mail me any pic's you can , that are
of horses in the natural setting, no people,
they need to be 300 x 300 DPI.

We will not use this for anything, without permission, I swear. this is just for him to pass in as a home work assig. unless it comes out so good, we can all have a copy of his finished project.

if he has a winning grade I would let you know
;-)

The term DPI (dots per inch) isn't really used any more. It is usually PPI or pixels per inch. so 300 pixels by 300 pixels would be one inch square. And about 264K.
Does that help??

300 dpi is essentially a resolution or clarity setting, and not a picture size. Size would be 300 pixels by 300 pixels, or 4 inches by 4 inches. What he probably needs are full resolution pictures. BTW, a 72 dpi photograph can be converted to 300 dpi by reducing the total size, essentially compressing it. Many cameras take 72 dpi pictures that are 24" wide. You compress them to 300 dpi and keep the same file size, you end up with a high resolution picture that is 10".

Make your life simple. Have people send you full resolution, uncompressed pictures.

Erin, do they have to be horses? Or can them be landscapes, birds, flowers, etc.

Second question...how much space/size limit do you have? I have 2 GB of just Bruiser pictures. How many do you need/want?

Okay Erin, I've been sending you Bruiser pics and realize that 2 GB's was an underestimation....that is just with one camera (we have 5). Soooo, give me a limit.

I'd send you pictures but have no idea what you mean. Like real ones off a real camera? or digital ones? Why can alot of the pictures you take work. I now I am confused and I bet alot of people are to. Heck alot of use just have a hard time figuring out how to post them.

to send a picture to the printer ( as in a real printing place )
the resilution has to be very high or the picture will look like crap.

so the Dots per inch need to be high, most of us take pic's on a dig camara at a low setting, because it is good enough for small prints, and
or senting over the internet.

Well Rick has a project that has to have very clear large 8x11 print
so the Dots per inch has to be at what the teacher wants.

I have my camara on a low setting, and I always cop my pic's so in order to make one of my pic's BIGGER it would be all grainy and look bad.

Erin, I sent you some pics, but was confused about the size, so I sent you another one of Fundador that was not 'downsized'....I can look for more if you like...
