This is our newest addition to Sagrado Stables. Warsong will be standing at stud beginning in 2007. Another beautiful paso bred by Carol Kuiper. I do love her paso bloodlines. He will not arrive until right before Christmas. We are looking forward to having some Warsong babies on the ground in 2008.

Sharon, is he PPR? I am not that good on all of the names on the pedigrees yet (or maybe never since so many are duplicated!!!) but it looked like a lot of PPR. Beautiful boy!!

I started to put PR and COL at the end of each of the lines, his dam is full PR. His sire is 3/4 PR and 1/4 Col. I'm not great at this either, but it looks like his grandsire, Brillante Negro, we full PR. His Grand dam, Milagra El Prim, was PR on her dam side, and COL from the Plebeyo line. We are very excited about getting him.

Sharon he is beautiful.....just stunning. I like his bloodlines too. My mare has some pleybeyo in her and I like that mix. Next time I breed her I would like to use a dilute stallion that has some plebeyo in him too. I'll have to add him to my possible stallions list! :D

Didn't Rusel have a WarSong? Is this the same one?
He is gorgeous!!!

Yes, Bonnie this is the same Warsong that Rusel bought from Carol when he was a baby. Rusel decided to sell Warsong last year and her friend helped her find him a new home. I contacted her when I found out Warsong was up for sale but they had already placed him. I think the new owner was a little intimidated by him and really did not want to keep him. Stallions are not for everyone. We have several studs here and are use to stallions and there unique needs. I think Warsong will work out great for us and we are very excited about his arrival. The Lady in the photos is Rusel's friend that helped her in placing Warsong.

Here is a summer picture of him. All my palominos get lighter in the winter months. Wish he stayed this shade year round.

Heidi, his birthday is June 7, 2002. So he will be 5 years old this summer. We also own a half sister to your Q, Savannah de Holandes. She is probably like 3/4 sister to your Q. The sire on Q is her Grandsire.

She is just a yearling. We can't wait for her to grow up.

Warsong, Savannah, and Q. are GORGEOUS. Mani had some wonderful babies, not only in looks. I have two, Spirit and Allegra, and both are the gentlest, sweetest horses you can imagine. If I get permission permission, I will try to post a picture of another full sister to Warsong and Q....the oldest of Mani's offspring I think, Solana.

Oh my josh, she is beautiful as well. I told you I liked Carol Kuiper's pasos. I need to post a picture of Warsong's brother, Dream Weaver. I will write his owner for permission to post a picture of him as well. He is just as pretty as Warsong. He has a little more blaze but otherwise, they look a lot alike. Thanks for posting the picture. Carol, do you anymore of your pasos that you could post pictures of? Carol has a great breeding program and some really nice pasos. Terry, isn't Dante a half brother to Warsong?

YEP...Sharon...Dante is a half brother to War Song.... just wait till I get him out in the public eye next spring! I expect Dante will be very close to 15HH of stunning horseflesh! Dante is a "keeper" horse I waited a long time for... Both Dante and War Song are smutty palominos, and yes, they will fade somewhat in the winter... but the smut gene is clearly there and *should* help them to be just a little bit darker every year till maybe age ten......
Dante and War Song would make a stunning pair....but then, Dante, Warsong & Dream Weaver...would make a stunning "triple play"...
They all got a nice head from their late sire..... Manolito el Prim.
Next spring I will be starting the big "golden boy" under saddle....then, I will determine if he is to stay a stallion.... so far, it looks like a "go".....
Congrats on having War Song on your stalllion roster!

Wow, they are all beautiful stallions. What happened to Manolito el Prim?
