Wondering if someone would look at this pedigree and tell me if this horse is bred more for trail vs having show background.
Registration # is 33,837 PFHA or International # 101699
Any input would be appreciated.

You can't tell a lot about a horse by his bloodlines. Although he has some Resorte IV in there, they are not prominant. He may/may not be show quality, and he may/may not be a good trail horse. I've seen horses with 'trail' lines that showed beautifully, and I've seen horses with "show" lines that made wonderful kid's horses. My Resorte IV bred filly is the calmest and easiest to train horse on my place. I just got a mare that is very closely related to her that is a Performance show horse.
It is very individual how those genes come down to the offspring.

I would say that his breeder wanted a very nice pleasure horse that is very well gaited. And i am sure thats what you got.

Although Carol is right, bloodlines don't always insure final outcome, I would agree with Adam in that looking at bloodlines alone, I would say this horse leans more toward pleasure or trail.

I can tell you that Walt Benhardus (First Priority) bred his horse to be show and trail horses. They had good gait and temperaments and they rode them both ways. Bonnie and Tim (del Norte) bred their horses to be the same. So I would say he would make a good show and a good trail horse.

Well, shoot. I had a thing all written out and lost it. Anyway...let me try again...
Bandolero was a very hot performance horse with a blazing largo. He was a difficult horse to handle from the ground, but he sired several nice trail horses.
Candelita was a beautiful mare. I am having a huge memory burp, and can't remember if Candela was the pretty liver chestnut mare that didn't gait or the little chestnut mare that was a stone witch. Either way, both mares had better babies than they were themselves.
Toledito was a small liver chestnut stallion. Very pretty with lots of hair. Hot as a firecracker. I had a sweet filly sired by him that ended up being a
National youth pleasure champion.
As they said, nice trail and pleasure horse line. There are some of my all time favorite PPR lines in there. We have an RRR gelding here that in his day was a top notch trail horse.
