They go catatonic. Well, there is your answer. Give them a treat and hop on while they're stoned.

Yup Carol, exactly my theory on fixing Poeta's 'problem'....I figure if I 'administer' enough treats whilst on his back he will eventually equate THAT with being 'high'....http://emoticons4u.com/cool/049.gif

Hhhmmmm...Joy....Looks Like the grey horse needs his lower inscisors worked on. Does he have a "wave" mouth by chance?
Funny pics!

Terry, I did notice Fundador's teeth look uneven, whats a 'wave' mouth?
He has a very slight over-bite...is that the same thing?? I'll have to check that out closer...haven't had my dentist here since last spring.... :-?
Barb, send your hubby over here, Fundador and I can give him lessons...

Joy...a wave mouth is a distortion in how the upper & lower dental arcade meet... the molars do not meet on an even plane, that can cause front inscisors to wear uneven, just as that second from the end, bottom inscisor in the photo shows... it is taller than the one next to it.
I have pics of what a wave mouth is... should I post it?

You should probably post it. Lynn had a great wave picture too.
It does look like a wave in that bottom picture for sure.

Yes please!
What causes it???? Is my dentist screwing the molars up, or is it his over-bite???

It could surely be the overbite.... any horse with an overbite will need floated at least once a year.
What causes an overbite (or underbite) is "genetics"...it is a heritable deformation.
A wave mouth can also cause uneven inscisors..I had an Appaloosa with a wave mouth years ago...
Here is a chart.... if you would like it "bigger" size....PM me with your email.
