Well, my boy Echo is here in Miami for training and doing good so far. They say he is fast and willing learner actually LOVES his training more than any other horse in the barn. :D
The only thing is he is a little overweight and he starts huffing and puffing pretty quick, so they are building his endurance and burning some fat. lol
He has the most beautiful forelock and tail...but his mane is pretty rough. He liked to stick his head thru the fences at the ranch...can you tell?

Oh Lori...him's purty!!!! :jumpy I can see why you love him AND why his diet needs some Whinny Craig! LOL
Gorgeous red bay!

LOL CarolU-Whinny Craig!!! :rofl *I think he's actually lost a few pounds in these pics since we dropped him off.
To tell the truth, that's the purtiest he's looked in a long time. Most of the time he looks like a dust bunny Paso and you can't see the pretty coat. But I gave him a bath on Friday, and even I was impressed w/his color.
Trainer says we can probably take him to his first schooling show in 3 or 4 months. :jumpy
So what will he be :D performance? pleasure? FINO?

Right now he's in the heavy weight class
Perla has only been on him once, so I think the verdict is still out...but I'm betting on Performance.

AWWWW I miss my little bratty brat boy! I am so glad he is liking his training though. Hope that mane grows out fast! LOL I could have killed him when I saw what he did to it when you let him out in the back pasture!
Keep me posted on his progress~! His Mom misses him!

PM- Awwe, I bet you miss him like a tooth ache.
But believe it or not, when I got to the barn today and peeked in his stall...he was JUST standing there like a normal horse. No pestering the horse on the other side, no fidgeting w/the stall handle, NOTHING. Me thinks training is gonna be good for him. 8-)

Wow! He has changed so much since the last pics (he was so little and skinny)! I love his head, it's so Spanish looking. He IS a beautiful boy! He isn't TOO overweight...I always say better too pudgy than too skinny. He's just got a cresty little neck. Love the pics!

I like my horses on the "well fed side", too. You can always take some weight off & at least if they should go off their feed for some reason--they have something to fall back on. He really is nice---I like his head & neck.

What a handsome fellow!! very, very nice. i like the weight he is in.
I'd happily take some of those pounds and put them on the scrawny 3yo geldings I just got shipped here from Virginia... poor things could use about a hundred more each - and it's so hard to put weight on a horse in the middle of winter in Canada.

Pretty well, I thought, but you'd have to ask the Boss to get the real story. He certainly isn't short on brio, I can tell you that! When it dries out a little more I'd like an encore, with your permission, of course :-). When's your next visit, anyway? We've enhanced the "bunkhouse" a bit.

lol. No, he surely is NOT short on Brio. I'd love to hear about your encore when it happens...and maybe a ride on Echo report?
Not sure when my next visit will be....when is the next show up that way? :?:

I will keep you posted for sure, looking to ride some tomorrow if the rain blows through. Next show we're looking at is Hattiesburg, I think. Not real close to us.
