I am so excited! I got the most beautiful rawhide jaquima for my mare Maria! And it is so nice and soft - the side pieces and brow band are braided and will be soft on her skin. It really is so nice - thank you SS - I mean Appyday!!! I am so thrilled - this is the nicest rawhide jaquima I have seen. I can't wait to get home from work to try it on her...and I will get some pics of her wearing it on Saturday. (Yes, I am still at work and brought my gift with me!) Hi Debbie S, Yep, it was me! LOL

You wanted something unique to the state in which your secret santa resided, and there is a story behind the lamp. I will send it to you when I get it all written down. I didn't want to give out all the details before you had a chance to guess. My husband did most of the work....but I helped! LOL The book you will love. It tells about Florida back in the old days when it was being pioneered. We read this book 25 years ago, and it is now required reading in most Florida schools. It is very interesting and you will not want to put it down. It follows a pioneer family from their migration thru the state, and all the troubles and famines they went thru.

The Circle S brand is "your" brand, and the "horseshoe F" is our registered brand. We thought it would be cool to have both on the lamp. In the old days, when you worked in a set of cow pens, it was quite common to see many different brands, branded in to the post of the fence, where they would "test" the brands to make sure they were hot enough. I will fill in the rest of the story later.

Hope you enjoy your lamp and brand. You can also use your brand to brand any leather tack (under your saddle) or on any leather part of your saddle, and you can also use it to "brand" your steak, when cooking out on the grill... a fun thing to do when entertaining.

I received a T-shirt - jade colored with the front pocket printed with the APF logo pocket print and on the back a full body Paso with Paso Fino written under the horse...so neat and what a pretty color.

I received a T-shirt - jade colored with the front pocket printed with the APF logo pocket print and on the back a full body Paso with Paso Fino written under the horse...so neat and what a pretty color.

Then I also received a white sweatshirt (crewneck) with the front pocket print - full body Paso w/"Paso Fino" text and on the back the awesome horsehead with the American flag - text: "...pursuit of happiness"

I enjoyed shopping for them at my very favorite store, Horsetown in Locust Grove GA. Everyone who drives thru Georgia shops there at one time or another. It's loads of fun and you just have to leave your credit cards and checkbooks locked up in the safety deposit box or you will end up selling the farm LOL!

I've had that happen to me before too...paid for 2nd day air, and they didn't fill the order for 3 days, and it sat somewhere over the weekend. Would have gotten here just as fast, regular mail. :roll:
