Happy Holidays everyone.
Peace be with you all.
I can't believe the grass is green, no snow and Christmas is tomorrow. Pretty strange for Canada.
May the sugar plum visions dance in all your heads no matter the weather...

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!!!
We are having a wonderful day. Went to a wonderful Christmas service last night, had Christmas eve dinner with my mom and openned presents this morning.
And my hubby - What'a guy!!!! NO walmart jammies this year!!! He got me a beautiful heavy winter coat, on which he had embroidered a Paso and the words "Queen of Roseberry Farm" I am not barn owner - I am QUEEN!. He also got me a fleece sweater with a horse on it, winter riding mittens AND a mane and trail brush! WOW!!!
Kids had a blast and now we are sitting around playing with our toys. I think I'll go brush Rio's mane. Roast beef and yorkshire pudding for later.
What did every body else do? get?

A VERY Merry Christmas to everybody!
I had a wonderful two weeks with several parties, meeting tons of great people, and great gifts. Even still had some snow. I only missed my family. Did get two phone calls that I didn't expect with good news.
A friend gave me a CD of Mary Ann Kennedy "The Trail Less Traveled" with the "Paso Fino" song on it.
At the Christmas parties, I met two farriers, a fellow who has been cart driving his Welsh ponies (in combined driving competitions) for over 30 years and invited me to ride with him (will teach me), a lady with two Peruvian Pasos (lives in my little town), some people interested in riding a Paso Fino....2 former runway models with interesting stories, a bunch of bikers, artists, unique people....neighbors I hadn't met before....
Back at home, we had a quiet Christmas celebration with good food, beautiful Christmas music, a few presents....

I hope everyone is having a very merry Christmas with friends and family. We are having a cool rain in NC that started this morning... But had a good hearty Christmas breakfast (I cooked) with my friend David (after all 18 horses were fed and put under shelter), then we exchanged gifts; he brought Emperador some special hay and bagged oats that E likes last night, plus a stash of firewood for days just like today. The horses got a battery operated hand held back massager. Arianna stopped eating last night and just stood there last evening (had to test it out) while I ran that all over her body..so that was a big plus for approval from her. E didn't care for the humming (electric sounding) noise....
Got a late afternoon dinner plan with my sis and I in a little bit..she is on her way. My bro ...one is in VA with his family (bad day to travel), and other bro and his family traveled overnight down to Kissimee FL to spend with in-laws (they just lost their dad two weeks ago). Saw one set of niece and nephew yesterday for a visit here and gifts exchange.
My littlest student had a Christmas eve lesson yesterday and a scavenger hunt on Arianna. He took his first spill... he actually got shook off. With unseasonably warm weather and winter fuzies, the ithces got ahold of Arianna and she started with her head shaking and that vigorous shake went right down her body. He didn't get hurt and mom and I helped get him back on within a few minutes. He had his grandparents from TX here to watch him.... so not many tears were shed. A few high fives and we finhsed the lesson with a Breyers Paso Fino Stablemate horse at the end for a Christmas reward (wrapped of course and in the mailbox). I had got a Santa Hat for the occasion.... Everyone had a good time watching and of course his Grandma was there to take lots of pictures. They had bought his first Roper boots too, so were proud of their grandson! He did very well in his lesson and showing what he had learned this year.
Well time to go check on all the horses and water and do a mid-day feed.
MERRY Christmas to everyone everywhere ...HO HO HO!

Well, Santa delivered my new camera so we are back in pix real soon. :D Too bad Santa didn't let me open till mid day Christmas or else I have lots of pix from the weekend. :-?
We also finally told Santa what he got us for Christmas.....
Mom and I purchased our present a month or so ago and have been trying to think of creative ways to tell Dad since then.
He must have started wondering something when neither of us were very vocal about what we wanted this year. Normally it's very clear what I want. Then...Mom purchased a beautiful new flat screen monitor for the nursery. I don't know if you guys have noticed, but the nursery has had a good year w/ the new plant hauler and all. Anyway, Dad was like....why is this the nursery Christmas and not your Christmas? :?:
Then he hits up my sister....So did your Mom think of something she wanted from me for Christmas?
Sister: Yes....
Dad: Will she like it?
Sister: Yes!
Dad: Am I gonna have to feed it? :-?
Sister: Maybe....
So on Christmas day after we opened all the presents....Dad askes what the present was he was supposed to be getting for Mom....
Sister: Well remember when you asked if you were gonna have to feed it?.....It ain't a plant.
He wasn't super happy, but he only had one forehead wrinkle instead of three.
We told him about our new lil mare. She is in Ga at Don's right now. But I'll have her brought down soon. She needs training but Sandy and Don say she is super sweet and sensible. She has lovely features and looks very feminine.
Her name is Lucero de Clouddancer, but I'll have to see her to see what I'll call her.
